A Bold Move Toward Dictatorship IS Afoot(Part Two)
I stumbled across some new information today, so I thought this thread needed an update when I started it, but it needs an update. Here is some the gist of my thinking in the original thread.

<snip>
If John Kerry does not win the election, Dub ya will be President forever. With Bush re-installed, a Republican Congress, BBB and the possibility of several Supreme Court appointments, Democracy in America will be in some real trouble.
We on the verge of a Bush Dictatorship that stretches as far as the eye can see.

</snip>

<snip>
It's Not About Arnold,it's framing that, proposed, amendment as a counter (a trade if you will) to repealing the 22nd. The real prize for the Thugs comes if Bush is President in January and has a Republican Congress and soon to be Conservative Supreme Court. Repealing the 22nd will crown him President for life. Arnold would never even come close to the office.
</snip>

Now lookie what I found today.

http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2005/1/22/203903.shtml

<snip>
Strategists Eying Deal for Clinton Third Term

Political strategists are reportedly pondering a deal that would allow Bill Clinton to run for president again by getting Republicans to agree to a change in the constitutional ban on third terms.

</snip>

Now forget the source and vagaries for just a minute. That fact that this idea is out there is troubling. If any of it is actually true we are, once again, playing right into their hands. Now on the source, you can criticize it all you want. One thing is for sure though, as bad as Newsmax is, it usually has a pretty good handle on what the Thugs are up to. Any thoughts on how to stop this terrible move? Is it already too late?

1. They want their little Boy King for Life (tm)
That's about the easiest way to obtain it. It's just one little constitutional amendment. It wouldn't be the first time one had been overturned. :shrug:

2. Bill doesn't need that grief again.
I would not be dumbfounded if the DLC were considering this. I don't have a good opinion of their intelligence or even their basic grasp of the situation.

Fellas, we win on a fair count. Try for that.

5. It's A Trick Though.
It doesn't have anything to do with Clinton or Arnie. It's all about eternal *. The DLC is just dim enough to jump at the chance to make a mistake like this.

7. I Agree For The Most Part.
I think if it was offered up to our side however, we would blindly jump at the opportunity. Like I said Newsmax doesn't understand shit about us but I'm sure they understand everything about the Right.
