Seven reasons why employees leave their jobs:
Covered in a book: The 7 Hidden Reasons Employees Leave: How to Recognize the Subtle Signs and Act Before It's Too Late, by Leigh Branham (Amacom, 240 pages, $24.95).

Here are the short notes:

The author's reflections on pay practices are contained in Chapter 8, Reason No. 5: Feeling Devalued and Unrecognized.

Seven chapters cover the seven reasons, and Branham offers 54 solutions.

The other six reasons:

The job or workplace not living up to expectations.

A mismatch between job and person.

Too little coaching and feedback.

Too few growth and advancement opportunities.

Stress from overwork and work-life imbalance.

Loss of trust and confidence in senior leaders.
