Author Max Lucado does not support my values!
Edited on Sun Jan-23-05 11:40 AM by SuffragetteSal
Last summer, he gave the benediction at the Republican National Convention.

This so called beloved author and his books are being used in churches all across America. I wonder if they know every book sale is directly supporting the Republican party?

This fact has really influenced me and the Methodist church I now attend as they haved used his books as Bible study twice now in 2 years. I knew there was something about his writing style I didn't like but couldn't quite put my finger on it. Now I know...he is a Republican! Max Lucado does not support my values! Not if he supports a murdering war mongrel president. Shame on you Mr. Lucado.

1. Hey, SuffragetteSal! love your username! Question:
Has Lucado stated that proceeds from sales of his books or speaking fees go directly to the Repubs? Is there a link? Just wondering...

2. I am sure there is a list of contributors out there
but I don't need it in writing. Mr. Lucado makes no secret that he is a conservative.

I don't have time to look, I am off to church and to question why they are using him a conservative Texas Baptist as study in a Methodist church.

4. thank you for the link!
I'm go to a Methodist church as well, with definite Democratic leanings(they don't overtly preach them), but if you look close enough, and listen you can hear. My Sunday School class is definitely Liberal/Democratic, and has many city council members, and the Mayor of my city!
