My First Favorite Blogger Has Become a Bore |
|
Josh Marshall still covers stories and issues of the utmost importance, but I have little patience for his wonkery.

2. I disagree. Josh does an indepth blog on certain issues |
|
while most of the others just skim the surface of many issues.
Just a difference in style. I appreciate when Josh picks an issue which is close to my heart because I know we will get most of all the relevant facts through his blog.

He and Juan Cole were my introduction to bloggerdom-- Josh now writes like his mind is somewhere else--also, perhaps this is just wistful thinking, like he knows a lot more about what is going on than he is willing to say. Good commentary until immediately after the election--and suddenly he starts writing like he has a banana in his ear.

4. Josh has always been a wonk |
|
But I've loved his site lately–he's made it obvious that Dubya's plan to end Social Security is turning out to be a very bumpy ride.

5. He does seem to be focusing entirely on Social Security |
|
I guess he is determined not to let Bush get his way on this and for that we should be grateful. He is still my favorite. I think he has more inside connections than anyone else. He isn't as liberal as some but I like his style.

carrying a heavy burden, for all of us, on Social Security - and he wasn't even elected to do it!
If the Dems stand firm and do not let Bush's Social Security phase out plan pass, Josh Marshall will have earned a ton of credit for staying on our congresspeople like the proverbial pit-bull.
He documents and exposes every word that is uttered on Social Security 24/7. This is the kind of journalism we have been screaming for and you're bored?
