I say start fucking with their brains.
You know all this SpongeBob bullshit?

Make them crazier than they are. Push them to such ludicrous extremes that more and more people see how crazy they are. They are obviously already ALMOST there if they believe a genital-less cartoon SPONGE can possibly be gay, so why not push them all the way to the thorazine shots?

Start sending emails to Focus on the Family, Falwell, and others telling them how concerned you are about "that lesbian Dora the Explorer" (thanks to SNL for that idea), and that you SWEAR you saw the word "gay" appear on the screen while you were watching Atomic Betty on Cartoon Network.

I've already started. I talked to a few people this weekend who brought up the SpongeBob thing (teacher conference) and asked me, in hushed tones "Do you think it's true?" Now, I didn't know these people, just met them casually, but they were clearly bushbots judging from their fawning conversation about the coronation. .

So I said, "You know, I'VE known that about SpongeBob for a long time, because I have good gaydar. But you know who they're missing? And these guys are even worse: The Cramp Twins. Ever heard of them? They're on Cartoon Network. They're twin boys and one of them is into KNITTING. And think about the name--CRAMP twins. Then there's also Atomic Betty, I mean COME ON, who could miss THAT? And the best one of all? "Codename: Kids Next Door." I'll just let you GUESS what CKND stands for. I'm tellin' ya, Focus on the Family needs to get a LEETLE bit more on the ball, a lot of these things just go right past 'em."

I made a really big-eyed face, nodded, then walked away. I noticed they all looked horrified.

Now what will be really funny is if those cartoons show up in the news in about a week or less.

I give you Atomic Betty:

And the Cramp Twins:

I mean, just look at this picture. One has the other TIED UP. Deviant from the word "go."

And look at this picture, for Kids Next Door. How can you even MISS the homo-erotic imagery in THIS?

Push 'em. Push 'em right to the edge and watch 'em fall right off.

4. Get all your examples down pat.
Edited on Sun Jan-23-05 07:56 PM by Bouncy Ball
Go to the Cartoon Network website for more examples. Act TOTALLY serious and be REALLY vague. (I have no idea, for instance, what I would have said if they would have asked "What DOES CKND stand for?" I would have had to make up some cryptic homosexual message or something.)

But it was enough to get them really buzzing when I walked away. I never laughed, not once.

Oh go to Nickelodeon website, too. They especially get het up about cartoons that are for VERY young kids that are supposedly "gay."

Sounds like a thesis, doesn't it?

143. Dobson says of children "pain is a marvelous purifier." -abuse for tots.
(I want to interject the sadistic side of Dobson that leads to Abu Ghraib to remember while we're having fun with the cartoon thing.)

Dobson advocates the spanking of children from 15-18 months to eight years old. According to Dobson, "pain is a marvelous purifier." (Dare to Discipline, p.6)

He argues that "it is not necessary to beat the child into submission; a little bit of pain goes a long way for a young child. However, the spanking should be of sufficient magnitude to cause the child to cry genuinely." (Ibid., p.7.)

In The Strong-Willed Child (p.73), Dobson writes: "Some strong-willed children absolutely demand to be spanked, and their wishes should be granted." As for the magnitude of the spanking, he argues that "two or three stinging strokes on the legs or buttocks with a switch are usually sufficient to emphasize the point, 'You must obey me.'" (The Strong-Willed Child, pp. 53-4.)

Dobson directly connects parental authority to social authority: "By learning to yield to the loving authority...of his parents, a child learns to submit to other forms of authority which will confront him later in his life -- his teachers, school principal, police, neighbors and employers." (The Strong-Willed Child, p. 235.)

He frequently portrays the child as the natural enemy of the parent and emphasizes that it is necessary to punish the child to uphold parental authority. "When you are defiantly challenged, win decisively." (Dare to Discipline, p. 36.)

In The Strong-Willed Child, Dobson draws a strong analogy between child rearing and dog rearing. He tells a story in which the family dog refuses to leave his resting place on the lid of the toilet seat. According to Dobson, a "vicious fight" between him and the dog resulted in which he "fought him up one wall and down the other, with both of us scratching and clawing and growling and swinging the belt ." He concludes that "just as surely as a dog will occasionally challenge the authority of his leaders, so will a little child--only more so." (emphasis Dobson)

To deal with crying, Dobson recommends: "Real crying usually lasts two minutes or less but may continue for five. After that point, the child is merely complaining, and the change can be recognized in the tone and intensity of his voice.

I would require him to stop the protest crying, usually by offering him a little more of whatever caused the original tears." <2> )

161. My parents owned "Dare to Discipline"
and I remember them holding the book up to us and telling us the book gave them permission to do what they did. Which was daily beatings with a belt of between 20-50 "licks."

Yeah, I love Dobson. My parents already had issues, of course, but his book gave what they did legitimacy, in their eyes.

Psalms, chapter 23

Bush is my shepherd; I dwell in want.
He maketh logs to be cut down in national forests.
He leadeth trucks into the still wilderness.
He restoreth my fears.
He leadeth me in the paths of international disgrace for his ego's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of pollution and war,
I will find no exit, for thou art in office.
Thy tax cuts for the rich and thy media control, they discomfort me.
Thou preparest an agenda of deception in the presence of thy religion.
Thou anointest my head with foreign oil.
My health insurance runneth out.
Surely megalomania and false patriotism shall follow me all the days of thy term,
And my jobless child shall dwell in my basement forever.

6. instead of that,
what I've done is tell people that Dobson confused the group sponsoring the film and another group with a similar-sounding name. I told them that all the sponsors said was that they preached tolerance. One Christian friend of mine responded to my email thanking me, because she could use this information - and the fact that Jesus was also a man of tolerance when it came to minority groups- to spread the word about how Dobson was sending an erroneous and non-Christian message.

19. I agree with you 100%
One of the key tricks the right used against Clinton was the "everything is too PC now" line and "it's Clinton's fault"

Yes, things WERE (IMO) *Too PC* but most of that PC'ness wasn't coming out of the Democratic party it was coming from the preachy church chatting bush/Gingrich contigent (and by PC I don't mean that I want people to freely appear on the airwaves hurling racial epitaphs at anyone but wasps...I mean that most of the voting public does not want a goody two-shoes envirnoment that tsk tsks about everything they do in their normal and private life)

The right winged whack jobs are indeed ALMOST THERE so as far as I am concerned give these bastards enough rope so they can hang themselves!

Every time they come out with one of these astounding statements and causes about things like a gay spongebob they truly look like the lunatics that they really are...so I say give them a little shove and help the process along.

79. Maybe by PC.... I used the wrong term
I have worked with a lot of people who were very liberal in their social stances (I mean to say they had an anything goes mentality)
but they were under the impression that the Dems were trying to take away their booze, cigs, or whatever... when Clinton was Pres--

I explained until I was blue in the face that it was the right wingers spinning things but they believed the big government/it's Clinton reaching into your personal life BS.

I personally know A LOT of people who thought bush would put an end to what they viewed as Government intrusion... who have been very sorely surprised by what the repuke party actually stands for these days.

But I understand what you are saying because Limbaugh et al use PC as a catch phrase for civil rights/racism.

21. That's great.
Definately will be good for some laughs too.

"Rev Fallwell,

Thank you for combatting the dark forces that are perverting American society. I'm concerned, like every patriotic American that our children are being exposed to a culture that will certainly damn them to hell for all eternity. The satanists are very sneaky and slip gay innuendos into almost all childrens' programming. Just the other day, I was watching an old Sesame street rerun with my niece, and I realized that Bert and Ernie were living together and sharing a bedroom. I tried to cover her eyes, but she saw it. Worse yet, my sister told me that my niece has an ernie doll that she keeps on her bed.
What kind of message is this sending to the youth of this country? I'm morally outraged that such programs are allowed to run on daytime TV. That kind of filth should be on HBO in the middle of the night. Please Mr. Fallwell, this country is on a crash course with hell. You must save us all. Continue to fight the dark forces. "

May God Bless You

Pretty benign if I recall, but I'm sure the propaganda was already starting with Dobson; I just wasn't paying attention at the time.

58. If they ever really look into Anime they are in for one big suprise
Most people catch wind of Japanese Anime from the saturday morning fare running around (Pokemon, Sailor Moon, etc). But that is just the tip of the iceberg. We call them gateway drugs for anime. Even the stuff showing up on adult swim doesn't even begin to clue you in.

Japan is far more expressive and tolerant of sexual differences. They explore ideas that would never even be considered. If religious right parents found out that Pokemon could lead to Hentei or Yaoi (look these terms up here http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/lexicon.php ) you would see Pikachu slammed off the tube faster than Mighty Mouse getting yanked for snorting coke.

might be the best thing for the world actually. #1 holder of usa debt decides to bail from threatening overtures from the usa.

turn america's greenback into toilet paper mighty fast.

just tell them La Blue Girl (alien tentacle sex, very popular genre) and if you really want to blow their mind (or probably just blow yours) check out this summation and review of the hentai game Possession

http://www.somethingawful.com/articles.php?a=1459

you might want to invade japan after this.

also give them 'the evil code words' about japanese anime. hentai, otaku, shoujo, yaoi (i'm gonna love their faces when they look that one up). then if you want their eyes to bleed say to search... fanfics.

ps:something awful is a great site for great hentai reviews. yes, those games really are that bad.

86. I remember when they were all up in arms over that.
My daughter saw that video lots of times and NEVER thought anything of it. Me, either. It goes by too fast and it's too small of a detail but it just goes to show you what kind of time fundies have on their hands.

That's why I figure if you get them REALLY buzzing about the Great Gay Cartoon Consipiracy, they'll not only jump at shadows harder than they already do, but their time will be taken up with this.

And of course, the more moderate ones will start to say "Uh, this is getting a little crazy now" and start b-a-c-k-i-n-g away from them.

90. Oh The Wiggles are SO gay.
In fact, there has been an exponential proliferation in the past FIVE years of cartoons with gay undertones and/or message. I read that on NewsMax. AND this has been done INTENTIONALLY to try to undermine the Great Bush's Pro-Family Pro-Christian Agenda. Those liberals just can't stand the idea of God ruling America, so they are putting messages into our KIDS' HEADS via the CARTOONS!!!!!

Edited on Sun Jan-23-05 11:38 PM by fob
I've read on DU.

I'm posting to this particular comment because of your use of FIVE years as the start of the proliferation. That's too brilliant, ties right into bush*s indoctrination. I think that's one of the most importaant parts and it should be brought up whenever possible but DO NOT specifically tie it to bush*. Leave it as an unspoken thing for "them" to connect theirselves. Start with some of the older cartoons but make sure the more recent "bush* era" ones really get your pants/panties in a twist.

At some point, late at night, "they" will wake up in a cold sweat realizing that bush* has ushered in the "gay agenda" and did it with their help. They'll never be the same (which can only be good).

BTW, there is a SpongeBob episode where he shows how he reproduces by "budding", in other words, he has sex with himself!

EDIT: FRESH FROM LBN, GAY CARTOON ALERT!!!

OK, here's the secret message:

Tops are made out of rubber? Bottoms out of springs? HELLOOOO????

And FLOUNCY? He's FLOUNCY? Yeah, right there. BIG NEON LETTERS. He's gay.

The last couplet should be obvious: he's the only one, but he wants YOU TO JOIN HIM.

It's as easy as taking candy from a baby. As long as you don't get TOO outlandish with it and just hint around about some stuff (almost like it's so bad, you don't want to SAY it) and do a bit of that FOX reporting style of "oh didn't you hear?" and "some people say..."

They'll eat it up. Raise your eyebrows real suspiciously when you are telling them. Ask them, real concerned-like: "Do you let your kids watch Cartoon Network?"

Act like you are mad that Dobson isn't catching all these OTHER homosexual cartoons. Insinuate that maybe HE is in cahoots with the people running Hollywood so he can MAKE MONEY. That might be going a bit far, but it's unexpected and some of them will go for that.

I'm a big cartoon fan. I tell you though we can do better than TV. Nothing pissed off the fundies more this year than the fact that Shrek 2 had bigger box office than The Passion. Shrek must go down. I mean how good can this be for kids? You have inter-species sex. Donkey and the dragon. And if Pinochicco isn't gay than Michael Moore is a Freeper. 165. BREAKING: I FOUND A VERY DISTURBING ONE THIS MORNING!!!
I was watching PBS Kids (for research purposes) and I found a cartoon called "Peep and the Big Wide World." I went to the website and found THIS DISCLAIMER:

Major funding for PEEP and the Big Wide World is provided by the National Science Foundation.

Oh. My. God. They are in on it, too.

The one scene that really nailed it for me was this one:

The BLUE round thingie with legs, called Quack, was walking along in the woods with Peep and the other thingie (I don't know the name of the other thingie) and they came upon a HUGE TOASTER. Yeah. Not plugged in, obviously, because they were in the middle of the woods.

Here's the weirdest part: NONE of them verbally acknowledged that a HUGE toaster was right in the middle of the forest!!! The blue one, Quack, walked over to it, looked at himself in the reflection (oh he also wears a SAILOR HAT) and sort of flirted with himself in the reflection!!!! OH MY GOD.

Simultaneously a pro-gay message and "we are taking over the world."

I tell you, I got chills. I am emailing Dobson right away.

Here's the website: http://www.peepandthebigwideworld.com/

And for those of you who STILL do not believe that children's shows are just LOADED with sexual innuendo and gay messages, just get an eyeful and earful of THIS clip:

http://rainbow.arch.scriptmania.com/rainbow_tv_episode.html

(Seriously, watch it. You'll pee your pants from laughing so hard. They are "playing with their twangers and balls." I'm not kidding.)

166. "The Weekenders"
Edited on Mon Jan-24-05 12:38 PM by Seemann For Congress
The Weekenders is one of my favorite kids shows. My little girl likes it, but she could take it or leave it.

Drop PLENTY of hints on them, especially because it's Disney. Here's what I've come up with so far.

This is Tino, the main character.

Tino lives with his SINGLE MOM, who loves to make him eat foods make from Tofu and other "organic materials". That's total code words for liberal lesbian.

As for Tino himself, he's terrified of clowns and curls up into a ball when confronted with one. He's TERRIBLE at sports, hates them in fact, and will only sign up for Chess in gym class.

Yup, he's gotta be one of "those types".

This is Carver

For starters, just LOOK at him. Yeah. My gaydar went off too.

As for his personality, he's BIG into fashion. I mean BIG. LOVES shoes. Mmm-hmmm, girlfriend. I went there. He even drags (oh, I said 'drag') his friends to shoe conventions.

Carver's almost out of the closet. Two for two.

This is Lor

Lor has 14 brothers. She's the only girl, which makes it easy for her to isolate herself, feeling like an outcast.

She's REALLY good at sports, especially soccer and Scottish sports. She's got really short hair too. Yup. Thought so. She's inconsiderate sometimes and is quick to lose her temper.

Oh, and she has a crush on a boy named Thompson, but she never knows what to say when he's around. Sounds very confused to me and she needs to investigate herself further.

Three for three.

Finaly, here's Tish

Nuff said.

Four for four.

(However, if you need info on Tish, she's big into theater, loves playing the dulcimer, eats nothing but health food, and to top it off....she's an immigrant. GASP!)

So there you go. Clearly, our children are being exposed to alternative lifestyles by Disney. We must stop them now!!!!!

167. Wow. There's so much in that, I don't even know where to start.
I want to thank you for your good investigative work which will surely benefit the children.

This kind of filth HAS to be stopped!!!!!!

169. Don't forget Blue's Clues...
Here we have a grown man who lives with his dog, has no
human contact, and seems to be perfectly happy. And I
think we all know why Blue's tongue is always hanging out.

If that's not promoting beastiality, I don't know what is!

175. Tell them that Focus on Family already got rid of the first host
See that will let them think that Focus on Family is actually relevant.

I have no idea why I know that the first host of Blues Clues left the show (great idea pal).

176. Boncy Ball tell them it all started back with Soupy Sales
See Soupy wasn't gay but his Jewish manager was so he got Soupy to add some lines to the script that promoted gayness and tolerance (see they learned about these mind control tricks during gay Jewish meetings in Cuba....from the Soviets who were there)and it has been snowballing since then. Don't forget to add in something about how gays have to "recruit" because you know they can't have kids but they adopt a lot just to be on the safe side.

Soupy Sales he started it.

179. Two words: The Wiggles
Men dancing and singing.

Signature song: "Fruit salad, yummy yummy"-Need I say more?

Oh and before someone brings up their other big song is "Big red car." Big-good red-good-car-good, but the only problemo is the car is NOT big, it's five men (one named Murray for God's sake) in a teeny tiny car. What does that mean? I don't even want to imagine.

Captain Feathersword?

May my children forgive me. (And frankly, we would do almost anything to keep the heat of Spongebob.)
