Anyone see Boston Legal? Republicans get slammed
Denny Crain and Alan Shore are out on the balcony talking at the end of the episode. Crain has been in the early stages of Alzheimer's on the show and admitted it in the courtroom earlier in the episode. Crain says to Shore that he's stopped taking the medicine to deal with his declining faculties and said something like "decisions are not made with your brain, Alan....they are made by looking for help from Jesus and then going to..." At which point Shore fills in the blank with "Fox News" and Crain says "yes".

Both of those guys are great in that show, and that little dig at the Right had me rolling.

3. Shatner is a marvel. He deserved his Emmy.

4. agree. He is a marvel
I hadn't thought of him for it, but when he won I thought about it. At first I wondered if he was really like the character. But then I thought of Kirk, and I had always assumed he was just like that character. He is entirely convincing in all of his roles.

That show is great. It's so funny. Did you see the one where Alan Shore wore the Christmas ornament on his head?

5. I love the show, but don't agree with your view of how it depicts Repubs
The two characters spar back and forth about their political views, but share a deep friendship nonetheless. I thought the overall point was that personal relationships transcend politics.
Both Spader and Shatner are wonderful in their roles, and the writing is excellent. The show is hysterical.

6. Oh no, it's a good show?
You guys are going to tempt me to indulge in another show. I've been so good in not getting involved in any new ones...

7. Anyone Notice That In the "Intelligent Design" Episode
The judge quoted documents in his decision that have no legal standing (such as The Declaration of Independence)? I thought that was rather clever; often religious nutjobs (usually pro-liars) quote the same documents; I wish they had hammered it in that those documents are nice and lovely and historic and all, but have no legal standing.
