bush lovers will eventually wise up, & turn on him
...in my opinion, but only after a total government meltdown, and only after it hits them personally, like in the pocketbook.

And after bush has been swept under the rug of shame, they'll lie and say that they were fooled and can't imagine how they ever could have fallen for such a jerk off.

5. monkey man is no reagan, though I don't mean it as a compliment
bush doesn't have the same mystical charm or so called gravitas.
even most republicans admit it.

but you're right, reagan got a free pass on all the slaughter and piracy, just like daddy bush and his pet monkey. not to mention president cheney.

4. Good to see you posting again...

....but you may just be dwelling in a bit of wishful thinking.

The type of person that supports Bush will never admit they were wrong. They will however make his opponents and critics the scapegoats for his failings and misdeeds.

For them to forsake their king of divine rights is tantamount to admitting that Bush took advantage of 9-11 for political gain or that his 'war on terror' is actually formenting terror and furthering the goals of the terrorists.

10. You're quite the optimist
They only see that Bush* is some sort of godsend and convieniently overlook his past military "service" desertion and the lies he's told. I can't find a Bush* voter who can answer, "What good has Bush* done for you?"

They might get the message when their kids get drafted.

12. The networks will still coronate Jeb as his successor

They'll claim Dubya was led astray by bad advisors and pretend Jeb has no connection to the same power structure.

13. I suspect that is the way it will go
ultimately. It seems to be happening already, but very slowly. I think that is probably his fate.

15. it occurs to me
how totally wrong and weak this administration is. Sort of like a really bad kid. They use both politics and religion to try to absolve themselves from the horrible crap they do. It is a really sad time for the world in so many ways and these idiots just add to it. what a shame
