ah my arrogant male that lectures me on nudity and sex
Edited on Mon Jan-24-05 10:40 AM by seabeyond
on edit, a lot of this is in humor, and yes, love

i listen as i raise two boys, married to a wonderful man, and now have a 12 year old niece, that is going thru puberty. what a grand experience. and then her father is a male, such a male, having a 12 year old daughter with breasts a comin. more so than most 12 year old girls.

and i watch you men and i watch my niece. niece and i had a conversation about boobs bouncing around last night. she is so uncomfortable at 12 years old with these boobs, and then the retarded male projection, making hard for niece. she wears a bra 24/7. told her, oh, just not a decade ago that i so embraced the bouncing free boob.

lets take it to nudity. simple nudity. i would so embrace that, if only this society could do that

my 43 year old body feels so good to me. i am more comfortable and in love with my body than i have been even at 20. with the tightness. the sags, the bags, the power and the beauty of it. yum

yet ........we as a society do not value the 43 year old nudity. if all this was truly about the embracing of the human body, it would not be just a certain age and image.

we dont embrace the child nudity. i had two little boys, playing outside in summer, i could not get clothes on them. everyone in my life had to just accept there were going to be naked boys when they came into the back yard, and those boys may go to a tree and pee.

i also took pictures all the time. after a time, someone pointed out so many of my pictures showed a penis. about the same time some parent was turned in for just that. it at least made it conscious for me to raise the camera a bit when i took a picture. hadnt even thought about it.

enough with the male telling me who i am suppose to be. how i am suppose to feel. tell me a story, a created story for their own perversion or retarded sexuality or simply immaturity in sexuality and tell me i have issues. silliness in that

so any differing opinion. wink. this womans perception

btw, superbowl, wasnt the tit. was the ripping clothes off in agressive fashion for a crowd

1. How is the custom of being clothed a "male" thing?
Or am I misunderstanding you?

"... that the witness has made the drinky-drinky motion"

ROFL

I especially liked the part of the little boys acting like animals in the backyard - LOL

EDIT: As to the "main" issue, I think Demi Moore is 43+ year old, isn't she? Her body is certainly valuable.

As a society, we're afraid of nature.

I've been reading a book, I think it's caled "Of Wolves and Men". It's about our slaughter of the wolves, and how Indians (native Americans) and Eskimos valued wolves. Essentially, we had no real reason to kill them. Maybe we hated their freedom - I don't know.

Witness the controversy about the purpose of breasts in terms of nursing vs. hood ornament status. If all women embraced the notion of the breast as hood ornament early on in the history of mankind, there would not have been humans left on the planet. Our young would have all starved to death.

13. Yeah,
nothing quite like the contentment you both experience when a baby snuggles into you and nurses contentedly.

15. It's a long tradition in the west- born of our culture's religious ideas.
In western religion, the natural world is a place of sin. It's dirty, it's tainted, and God is removed from it. When you die, you hope to leave this filthy place and go to a perfect heaven.

And there's always a duality. Some things are bad, others are good. In other traditions, things are different. Wolves, for instance, aren't "bad"- they're just a natural part of the world, and god is infused in everything.

Anyway- I think that's largely why we're so freaked out by nudity. It's natural, but it's "filthy" and "bad".

14. Look up a nearby naturist spot, if there is one...
The only group of people to have beaten the body image problem (soundly).
