As an Eagle Fan since they played in Franklin Field
I would like to offer my heartfelt appreciation for all those white sports reporters and announcers who willed Donovan McNabb to win yesterdays game. They just wanted him to do good and By God they got their way. It must be heart warming for black quarterbacks from sea to shining sea to know that they don't need talent to succeed, the liberal, white, sports press will ensure their success. Praise the Lord, and pass the pre-nup (and a handful of the little blue ones).

1. Careful
They might just say that McNabb won because he was playing against a black quarterback, therefore making the win easier.

3. Such a complex issue
You may be right, but "they" could also say that the black quarterback who plays in the comfort of a dome was exposed to all the white stuff on Sunday leading to his downfall. Gosh, if I could only think like "they" do. Unfortunately, I have a brain.

4. I was born down the street from Franklin Field
So I guess I was a fan back when they played there (1959) although I didn't really start rooting until 1967. Perhaps if they had had a black quarterback then they wouldn't have stunk as bad as they did then. It amuses me when younger fans say the Eagles stink when they go 6 - 10....you young'uns don't KNOW putrid like us old-timers do.

Patriots better not spend a lot of time reading their press clippings either.

5. I grew up six blocks from Connie Mack Stadium
putting kitchen chairs in front of the house and "selling" parking spots for the Phillies games. I agree Voltaire, the Patriots better start adjusting their chin straps. I feel mighty good about this years game. The Eagles are stout on both sides of the ball and the prevailing wind of the media is that the AFC is the better conference. I'm not buying it. I guess thats why they play the game.
