I hear that the Evangelicals are planning to mobilize
Edited on Mon Jan-24-05 02:43 PM by ck4829
Hey Evangelicals, before you turn America into a Theocracy and send us all into a new Dark Age, don't you think you should thank the proper people because of your 'victory'?

Be sure to thank:

Diebold, because it helped the Republicans cheat.

ES&S, because it is another company that counts the votes AND is RW.

Al Qaeda, because without it, Bush's Administration would have to be about something besides war and fear-mongering.

The Swift Liars, without their slander, Kerry's reputation would have never been ruined.

1. And It's Actually the Fundies, Not All Evangelicals.
They try, they die. All traitors to the US Constitution deserve the a long and painful death.

26. Well don't. Evangelicals are not the problem. Fundies are.
Evangelicalism simply refers to a wish to spread a religion. Fundamentalism refers to the interpretation of that religion.

4. I think I've posted it before, but
to understand Fundamentalism, it's helpful to know what "fundament" means.

have to do is hide behind the cross and the media won't come near them.

5. Mobilizing where? Texas? Sure, okay, give 'em Texas.
The Mormons have Utah, and one thing we have learned from that is that when you concentrate kooks in one area you get what scientists call a "Stupidity Vortex" that is sort of like a Black Hole, but instead it feeds on logic and common sense, which is veritably nonexistant in Texas. Thus the whole crazy evangelical doctorine would starve to death.

6. The evangelicals and fundamentalists have mobilized
years ago. Now the rest of the world is mobilizing against them.

What they practice is not Christianity, Jesus would have had nothing to do with them.

8. They're mobilized. And it's not just "Evangelicals" or "Fundamentalists"
Once again, with feeling. Check out the Dominionist movement, AKA Christian Reconstructionism. They use the Evangelicals & Fundamentalists, often by stealth.

11. Take a look at the article "The Despoiling of America"
Yes, they are planning a Theocracy.

What we are seeing right now is, in the words of Katherine Yurica, "The Swift Advance of a Planned Coup". It has been elaborately planned for a long time.

13. It's a fascinating analysis, but the world would never stand for it.
America's wealth is based on two things - the dollar's status as world reserve currency, and world export markets. All this would lose you both, and lead to a depression like you've never experienced, worse than 1929.

15. The Dominionists are pro-business - say wealth is sign of God's Blessings
The weirdest part of the Dominionist agenda for me is that their plans dovetail perfectly into the GOP/greed/corporatist agenda.

They are advancing the "unregulated free market" ideology and they believe that wealth is a sign of God's blessing, and conversely that poverty is a sign of God's displeasure.

I think there is mutual "use until no longer useful" between these two camps:

- The GOP Corporatists want to use the Religious Right until their economic/political power is consolidated;

- The Dominionists want to use the GOP Corporatists until their spiritual/political power is consolidated.

But given the corrupt hypocritical nature of both groups, it is also possible that they can work together and coexist indefinitely.

17. But that still requires the blessing of the world markets.
People would boycott America in their MILLIONS. Similarly, they would sell out of the dollar. The whole system would crash.

20. But, see, you're talking about something they don't care about
I'm serious. Most of these Dominionist and Reconstructionist types are also believers in the Rapture. A lot of them believe that this kind of crash in world markets NEEDS to happen to help bring about the End Times. These people are actively TRYING to bring about Armageddon.

...and ah-ma-geddon sick of it!

21. That's why they are sending missionaries to every country on the planet
to turn EVERYONE into Bible believing Christians who gladly respond to the Gospel and be ready for the glorious return of Christ!

These types are always SO AFRAID of a "One World Government", like that would be the worst thing in the world, but in reality, their "Millennium" reign of Jesus would be exactly that - a One World Government with a single leader!

While the God squad are scanning heavenwards looking for the Rapture in the US, Europe will be trading with China, Japan, India and the rest of the world that hasn't fallen for this fundamentalist crap.
