Randi Rhodes and Right Wingers

As I sit here and listen to to Randi's show, it occurs to me that the reason she seems so much more abrasive lately might be because she gets so many calls from uninformed Bush supporters everyday. It seems like she gets many more than the other Air America hosts. Frankly, if I had to deal with them everyday, I'd probably become snarkier too. I'm listening to this idiot complaining about the Air America hosts whining all the time but he can't refute a single thing that Randi is throwing at him. How tiresome.

Sometimes I wish she'd let the nutty callers talk more, but its so damn good when she just yells at them. Most of the right-wing callers are so clueless I get frustrated just hearing it, and I can understand why Randi is snarky with them.

2. I love listening to her! I have to listen after the live show because...

we can't get her in Santa Cruz Co.- one of the most liberal counties in California! Guess who WE get to listen to on the radio? Rush and Bill! Can you believe it? The FCC came in and raided the local station about a year ago. Now that they have been shut down...we are screwed! Unbelievable!

3. What i like about her is that the calls aren't screened

so unlike the lunactic right. She takes their calls and hits them with the truth.

6. The lack of screening is one of the reaons you hear more of the "morans"

on her show...they can get thru.
I guess I enjoy it because it is exactly how I would react if I was talking to them, except if I was on the phone I would hang up a lot sooner.
Thom Hartmann is sooooooo patient with that kind of caller. I cannot believe it. He lets them talk, and reasons calmly, and then thanks them nicely for calling. I mean he gets his point across very well, but his calmness is so unnerving. I hope they find it unnerving too.

Every night on my ride home from work I listen to some drooling imbecile calling in spouting bumper-sticker slogans, making an ass out of himself (usually it's a "him")
