Edited on Mon Jan-24-05 06:56 PM by Charlie Brown
Could it be we've actually found some common ground w/Freeps?

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1327325/posts

BTW, I can't believe Stevens, Breyer, and Kennedy sided w/the majority.

1. Tell the freeps...
...if they're not guilty of anything, they have nothing to worry about.

After all, that's what they've been telling us since 9/11, isn't it?

17. IT'S SCALIA's FAULT!
Read the case opinion. Someone go and post on free republic and tell them to follow Scalia's opinions on police rights to search a car EVEN if it just began as a traffic stop.

3. wow, I could actually read all of the posts
with out leaving in disgust. Now I wonder what would happen if someone told them that they are responsible for their loss of freedoms by allowing Bush to stay in the White House?

13. precisely. the dumb@sses voted for BushCo, & now they're whining
--are they that stupid, that they can't connect the Naked Ape and his repressive policies (in the name of "fighting terrorism," of course) with the gradual eroding of our rights?

18. The Patriot Act already allows that.
Edited on Mon Jan-24-05 07:21 PM by w4rma
Although I don't believe it's been tested in court yet, since, according to the Patriot Act, they don't have to tell you if they've searched your home... *ever*, so no cases.

health screening plan. Let them enjoy BUSH'S version of gun control.

BTW, Freepers, you really trust that Bush believes in free speech or political dissent? You think he wants a free and healthy press?

7. I guess they don't quite get the fact that the policies that they've
endorsed and supported coming from Shrubco are exactly what laid the groundwork for such decisions.

They have been supporting just such measures in the guise of the Patriot Act, all of Ashcroft's policies, etc. for years, and now they want to complain?

15. Kennedy I'm not so surprised about
He pretty much does what Scalia and others tell him to do anymore.

Stevens and Breyer, though - that pisses me off. They should know better.

I notice none of them cast the blame towards shrub and company. Probably find a way to blame it on Clinton.
