with a spectacular lack of success.

America does not fight wars. A war, when fought for an honorable purpose, is fought with warriors. We don't fight with warriors, we drop 5,000 lb bombs from 20,000 feet. We fight with technology. There is an element of a person's nature that provides the courage and strength required to defend a deeply held belief. When that warrior fights on the battle field, he willingly sacrifices himself to a higher cause. Can anyone honestly say that our soldiers have that spirit. No, and for the sole reason that there is no honorable motive, no causus belli, no inspiration. How many bootleg films have we seen where a dude in a chopper with night vision blasts a hellfire missle into a room full of enemy? There is no connection to the warrior soul. This is also the reason why our soldiers will have mental disorders for the rest of their lives. Because the cannot overcome the deafening dissonance of their actions.
