ABC's Website Had An Article On PNAC - It's Gone
I remember awhile back people used to link to the ABC article about PNAC. I just noticed that the article is gone. It even linked to a video that was streamed from ABC News. I know that people are currently talking about PNAC being mentioned in a lawsuit. This was one of the few stories I ever saw about PNAC that was shown in the mainstream press. Anyway, did anyone ever record the actual news report they had on TV?

1. Here is the link on the PNAC
Here's the summary of the way it all went down:
1. A number of Right-Wing Republican neocons wrote up the "Project For A New American Century"
plan (PNAC), a blueprint for the US to:
According to PNAC, America must:
* Reposition permanently based forces to Southern Europe, Southeast Asia
and the Middle East;
* Modernize U.S. forces, including enhancing our fighter aircraft,
submarine and surface fleet capabilities;
* Develop and deploy a global missile defense system, and develop a
strategic dominance of space;
* Control the "International Commons" of cyberspace;
* Increase defense spending to a minimum of 3.8 percent of gross domestic
product, up from the 3 percent currently spent.
See this url for more info:

2. Saddam wanted Iran (Iraq's enemy) to believe that he still had WMD's,
so he wouldn't cooperate with WMD inspectors. If Iran thought that Saddam
didn't have WMD's (which in fact he did not), then Iraq could potentially be
attacked by Iran.
3. Bush wanted to go into Iraq from "Day 1" of his administration, because
it was the PNAC plan (see item #1) above, and because Saddam at one point put
a "hit" out on Bush Senior.
4. The Bush administration setup the "office of Special Plans" in the Pentagon

I suggest that you all read the whole PNAC document. It was signed by Wolfoshitz, Cheney, etc, and its a blueprint for what they have been doing and plan to do. It's all in black and white and they signed it.

2. Yeah, I Know About It
It's just strange that the only mainstream news source I know of that actually reported on it has removed the story.
