I just realized that I spent almost all my active duty time

17 years in blue states. Ct, IL, Ha, Ca, WI, Pa the only Red one was Fl.

Just an interesting thought, I can not stress how easy it is to be a conservative while on active duty.

Even in those Blue states (and they tended Blue even in the 70's and 80's) I was surrounded by a military/conservative culture, took 4 years of college and exposure to civilian life to break of it.

5. I always thought it was 10, probably wrong.
