Joe Lieberman's at it again
Is this guy Republican or what?

I can't believe the amount of praise he's heaping toward the Repugs in light of the impending confirmation of Condi Rice to Secretary of State. It was sickening to hear him. They showed him on TV this morning (CNN Live) speaking and gushing over the fact that this is yet another monumental achievement in overcoming yet another American human rights barrier, considering how it's a black American woman getting such a high position. I guess it's time for us to all celebrate.

WTF? We're supposed to credit Bush for something the Democrats have preached all their lives?? Has Lieberman forgotten that it's we Democrats who've preached for equal rights all our lives, regardless of race, gender, or religion....not the Repukes....so how about enough with patting the chimp on the back, Joe, ya closet repuke.

2. I feel your pain.
Glad you watched - and you reported. I choose not to pollute 'my beautiful mind' with the mainstream media - especially the channel permitting Joe Lieberman to speak. He needs to go to a Rethuglican meeting and spout that bull. They'll appreciate it more.

4. This is exactly why the Dems in Congress need to unify.
Twits like Lieberman need to be reigned in and punished by the party or simply replaced. I prefer the latter.

6. Punishing politicians usually does equate to removing them from office
Just find someone in that state who is not only willing to run against him but is also a progressive and a reformer.

10. What you will get to run against him
is another preppie, Yalie (bottom of the class, legacy admission), Harvard "B" school (bottom of the class, legacy admission), brainless, dry drunk, fundie, business failure - looking for a job. (We've been their once already).

Remember - that is Connecticut - where the Bush family is from.

12. and it's all because of the life-long labors of Democrats that
repukes are doing this.

This is what bothered me so much about seeing Lieberman heap so much praise for a Republican "accomplishment".

for the chair, I really don't think anybody can do what needs to be done like he can. but it would be nice to see a hispanic, or black in that spot.

everybody is screaming fundies pushed bush over the top, but he pulled some blacks, and hispanics too.

21. Earth to Joe. Come in, please. She's replacing an African American.
and his predecessor, Madeleine Albright, is female (and an immigrant to boot).

Exactly what kind of "monumental achievement" is it for the first African American female Secretary of State to be a fawning Bush** toadie who lied through her prominent teeth about everything from 9/11 to WMD?

23. Lieberman was gushing over her not only being an African American but
an African American WOMAN. Let me tell you, Joe is really impressed with all of this.

Great point, though. Someone needs to remind Joe about Madeleine Albright, like you said.
