Is anybody else watching William Kristol on CSPAN?

William Kristol(founder of PNAC) just said he hasn't talked to Rummy of Wolfy in 3-4 months of so and that his calls to the defense department are probably screened (blocked).

Is he full of it?

Kristol telegraphs "the plan" blow by blow for them.
He consistently tries to distance himself publicly, so as to be taken seriously by the public at large.

He is a huge deceiver in this regard. Nothing the PNAC cabal does happens without Kristol's signature all over it. Especially with his pet project of Iran heating up on the front burner.

It doesn't matter what a guy like Kristol writes in the newspaper when he disagrees with Rumsfeld, or calls for his resignation. It's all a show. They're on the same page. They have the same goals.

If Kristol has to come out and write something critical of Rumsfeld, to take some heat off because all these nuts are in this thing together, then he'll do it. It won't make Rumsfeld change what he's doing, because it's not a real criticism. Kristol probably calls Rumsfeld up the day before to tell him he'll do it. Or, he probably doesn't even have to do that. They all went to, or have been involved with, the same school in Chicago, and the same philosophy. They're just playing with us.

I didn't know that, although I admit I'm not up on PNAC as much as I should be. I was listening to Kristol on CSpan radio waiting for the Senate hearing to kick back up. Is it just or can you almost feel his Buckley like smart as smirk over the radio?
