1. Failed?
More people voted AGAINST * than any other incumbent in history.

I'd say Moore succeeded in educating a whole lot of people about the truth.

2. How did he fail?
I wonder what the difference was of people who saw F9/11 and those that voted for Bush. Is this supposed to be journalism?

3. failed attempt to turn voters away from Bush?
I don't think so. It was highly successful and the box office numbers are proof.

4. He did what he could, he wasn't the one hacking the vote tabulators.
That was more direct and effective.....

5. They have "anti-Bush" in the rewrite rather than attempt to turn voters
against Pres Bush - but I suggest it deserves an email via the link below.

'Aviator,' 'Baby,' 'Neverland' Top Oscar List
Tue Jan 25, 2005 2:39 PM ET

By Kevin Krolicki and Arthur Spiegelman

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Hollywood had a wide-open horse race on Tuesday as Oscar nominations pitted two hard-hitting dramas by veteran directors Martin Scorsese and Clint Eastwood against the charm of films about wine drinking, Peter Pan and Ray Charles.<snip>

Two of the year's most controversial movies fared poorly. Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ" picked up three nominations outside the major award categories for cinematography, makeup and original score while Michael Moore's anti-Bush documentary "Fahrenheit 9/11" did not receive any nominations. <snip>

8. Was the film even submitted for best picture?
Or is the caption wrong on that count too?
