In my opinion, every republican senator who took the floor today
IS A FOOL. To put the interests of a simpleton controled by a madman above the best interest of the citizens of the United States is criminal, and I say they're are fools and bufoons who have whored themselves out to the lowest of the low.
May the dieties have mercy upon those of us who do not support these fools.

1. I think...

there are more dems supporting Rice's appointment then apposing it. They should be even more ashamed of their blatant tyranny.

2. A vote for Condi is a endorsement of the Fascist policies of
The Imperial AmeriKKK radical Right Wing nuts at the PNAC. Vote them all out.

4. What pisses me off is the "self made woman argument"
Even if you made something out of yourself like she has, a liar is a liar - it is no excuse you grew up poor and black.

Funny how they didn't use the same argument with Bill Clinton who came from very humble beginnings.

6. yea, but Clinton is a Democrat
so there is no excuse. I just wonder w/ all her 'self-made' money, power and exposure why her teeth were never fixed?

5. Makes me think of the Roman Senate in the last days of the Republic

And wasn't there a tombstone somewhere that read, "As you are now, I once was and as I am now, so shall you be."

7. The democratic senators
who vote for this "woman" should go on over to the other side, we'll get the knife out of our back ourself.

10. George Allen plans on inheriting Bush's campaign network.
Frist wants it, but I think Bush thinks he's not worthy to succeed him. I doubt Jeb can given his family problems and his wife's "instability" factor. Allen wants it. He panders to the fundie leaders as much as anyone. He's been an extremely loyal Bushbacker and has the dough to pay off whoever he needs to. And he's a vicious creep behind the bemused, smarmy grin.

13. I don't think they're even thinking of a succession
I firmly believe we have seen the last days of the American Republic. There will be some trumped up excuse for these idiots to grab the government, and start the aristocratic monarchy.

12. I generally avoid such knee-jerk epithets,
but Hutcheson (R, TX, twt) as well as Hagel (R, Neb, jrk), certainly validated that observation. I certainly hope a transcript of Sen. Byrd's speech will soon be available, as well as perhaps an audio file. In all likelihood Dr. Rice will be approved, but each and every Senator who votes to approve, should be judged against that speech ... day after day after day. PARTICULARLY the incipient Zell Millers.
