Christine Whitman - How the Radical Right is Undermining America?
I was looking at Google and I found a link to an old Barnes and Noble page showing the title of Christine Todd Whitman's book - it was called:

It's My Party Too: How the Radical Right is Undermining America

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22How+The+Radical+Right+Is+Undermining+America%22

By the time it was released, it was called:

It's My Party Too: The Battle For the Heart of the GOP and the Future of America

http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?endeca=1&isbn=1594200408&itm=4

If she (or the publisher) let the right wing pressure her into changing the title (maybe that's not why she changed it, but it's anyone's guess), then I wonder how much of the content of the book they might have changed before the final release?

1. if she goes on the book selling media circuit
maybe someone will ask her why she changed the name of the book.

Maybe we should notify the press?

Keith O might mention it...and ask the question...why did the working title change?

2. I doubt if she changed it
The publisher probably did that.

3. Do you think they would have changed it if it was called
"How the Radical Left is Undermining America"

:(

4. Maybe she was given a choice: fix the book or sleep with the fishes.
We all live in B*shworld™, now.

7. Sometimes, they don't bother asking you
I've had an editor tell me what title they had decided to publish my book under. Came as a surprise to me. Up to that point, I had assumed they were going with my title, but they considered that just the working title, just a convenience along the way.

I think that's especially common with big, politically sensitive books. And it surely is more the case now, when major publishers are subsidiaries of giant corporations, than it was years ago, when most publishers were small, often family-run, companies.

5. She's on book tour
She'll be in Manhattan Thursday, I believe at a Barnes and Noble.

I want to ask two questions:

1. Why did you lie to the first responders at ground zero and say that the air was safe?

2. Why did your publisher change the name of your book?

8. If you want to get to the first question, ask the second one first.
You might not get the chance in the other order.

6. I saw her on The Daily Show
and was impressed....but that was before she changed the title of her book. Distressing. Too many people are cowards these days. Really. Boxer was so correct: our leaders are sacrificing the American people for personal/professional loyalties. And, of course, money. Whitman almost had it right. Then she lost her courage. Too bad.

9. Let's all help Christine "come out" as a liberal. It's OK Christine, we
will welcome you if you want to come over to our side. I'm not sure I would want to encounter you in a dark alley, but the converts from C to L are the best Ls of all - shake hands with Arianna.

10. Whitman is not so far from being a Democrat...
if she could get over being a tight-ass New Jersey rich bitch.
