3. Weird. He's speaking as if it were a speech.
Not an interview. He sounds odd, more canned and less candid.

4. HAhah...they showed a clip of Bush and
then when they cut back to Kerry, there is NO CONTEST. Bush sounded like the King of Wimp World next to Kerry.

It's great to hear him be direct about the problems in Iraq and how we got there. Kudos!

10. The more that EVERY Dem candidate...
Adopts a message that is plain speaking, clear, unambiguous and couched in honest facts, the more the general electorate, no matter what their registered affiliation, will grok the truth.

Many, many people know that the reason they can't fart is because Chimpy's little vienna sausage is in the way. Clear Speaking will start the process of removing the offending member and keep it going.

13. Why is it that
a post concerning "Plain Speaking" makes absolutely no sense to me.

What is "grok"?

15. "Grok" is a term from Heinlein's novel
Stranger in a Strange Land. It, and the novel, were big in the '60s. The term is often used as a rough synonym for "understand," although it means something more encompassing (empathize with, be spiritually absorbed into...) as Heinlein dedfined it.

16. I don't think it's a coincidence
that they were on one after the other.

The DNC expected it to be a Kerry-Edwards ticket, and if Edwards didn't catch on, then Clark was being groomed to step up.

I'm of a mind that they may have Edwards pegged for Attorney General.
