If Bush goes down, will FOX News go down, too?
I want to know what you guys think. O'Reilly, the "independent" who once registered with the GOP, is known for trying to get credibility by attacking Repukes in local and state governments. Will he betray George Bush when Bush goes down the toilet, and if he did, would he still lose viewers? Will the media get back to skeptical, liberal journalism?

Side note here: Has anyone else noticed how FOX News has been getting loads of dark skinned people (black, pakistani, etc.) on? Is this an attempt to look "fair and balanced"?

2. Probably not
In the event of a nuclear holocaust, the only surviving animal life will be cockroaches and Rupert Murdoch. He'll change, adapt and adjust to continue to make a buck. He just doesn't evolve.

there will always be a good market for idiots. As for the "dark skinned people", I wouldn't know - I'm not an idiot.

6. The National Enquirer has always been quite successful
There is no reason to think that a fake news organization with slutty chick talking heads won't always have a wide audience.

10. With the national penis retired, and Bushes* demise in 2004
Faux will still be needed to carry on the fair and balanced torch of discrediting the new Democratic president. Faux will be 'enlightened' to critique every and any thing the new POTUS will do, even though his predessor did all things a zillion times worse - but that's fair and balanced for ya.

< sigh >

11. Does FAUX ever have online polls? The way CNN does?
I've never seen one. Do you think it's because they wouldn't like to report what people are saying? Wolf's poll today said something like 84% did not think the war in Iraq was worth it.

FYI - I was listening to "On the Media" on NPR this weekend and they were talking about FAUX. They said that in other countries, the FAUX stations were all pro-government. Of course, that wasn't true with Clinton, but it was an interesting take on FAUX.

12. FOX won't go down
It may go up. It will the primary outlet for haters of the Democratic Administration, and FOX will come out swinging on Inauguration Day. The new Democratic president better have a strategy for dealing with FOX. They may want to consider cutting off their access to the White House.

14. Faux will survive, just like cockroaches
They are "dominating" the cable news race with about 1.4 million viewers. To put it in perspective, that means that basically 1 in 215 americans watch, and they are by far in first place.

People really don't watch the cable news networks. 99% of people are not watching them on a given day. I am not using hyperbole here. Literally, the combined audience of all the cable news is about 1% of the US pop. Fox can thrive in this market. Once Chimp goes down, they will just do homages to the chimp and the GOP, and probably increase their ratings 100%, and then be watched by 1 in 108 people. Those of us into politics really are living outside of the reality of most people. What Tom, Peter, and Dan say is far more signifigant than what the cables say.

15. I agree Fox is not legit
And should not be treated as such by any elected official. Dems should have locked them out years ago.
