Radio technology to fight terrorism (or Big Brother?)
More technology to control our life? See report: http://www.smh.com.au/news/Breaking-News/Radio-technology-to-fight-terrorism/2005/01/26/1106415633907.html

(snip)

US officials want to see if the same technology that speeds cars through highway tolls and identifies lost pets can unclog border crossings without compromising security.

Homeland Security Undersecretary Asa Hutchinson announced that the government will begin testing radio frequency identification technology at this crossing and four others by midsummer.

(snip)

Like every other new measure, it may seem reasonable, but I think the real targets are you and me. The Police State is expanding.

2. various electro towers going up all over iraq
numerous contractors have begun installing communications and microwave towers in iraq-all innocent

the pentagon is working on various electro-magnetic crowd dispersal weaponry-all for our safety.

one of the often overlooked purposes of modern day warfare is to test new array of techno death weaponry. in fact you can't get a contract if your weapon hasn't been battle tested anymore.

4. Good point
Iraq is a real test-bed for this new technology. What about the recent Police State for Fallujah? Everyone to be retina-scanned and wear ID badges like the Wasraw ghetto. Again, the are excuses for it, but its only a test for you and me.

3. How does this meet even basic security standards?
Haven't these people heard of car theft, truck theft, whatever.

In fact it would result in less actual searches etc.

I just see way to many ways the 'terrorists' can waltz right in with this.

And if I can see it, odds are they are not going to miss it.
