WTF? He just repeated the catch phrase, ignoring what Gonzales actually said!

2. It's the New Doublespeak |
|
Making it easier for big industry to pollute without consequence = "Clear Skies Initiative"
Making it easier for the lumber industry to log old-growth forests = "Healthy Forests Initiative"
Alberto Gonzales characterizing the Geneva Convention as quaint and outdated = America will not tolerate or engage in torture
I'm surprised no one in the administration has come out and publicly declared, "Well, it's not torture if we do it!" It's what they believe anyway, and it isn't as if the so-called liberal media will hold their feet to the fire over it.

3. It's Technically True! |
|
Edited on Wed Jan-26-05 10:55 AM by JHB
Said: "'Alex Gonzales repesents our policy of not tolerating torture'"
Left unsaid: "Our policy is not to merely tolerate torture, it's to ENCOURAGE it to the point where it cannot be ruled 'cruel and unusual', since it won't be unusual. And no one better represents our "torture-torture-rah-rah-rah" policy better than Alex Gonzales!"

5. A representative of the ACLU was on Wash Journal and made a |

great case against Gonzales.
sidenote - a woman called in and accused the man of being a commie and worse. He gave a beautiful answer - ending with an offer to her to contact the ACLU should her freedom to express herself ever be threatened.
