Poll question: If you were an Iraqi Citizen, would you vote?
If you were an Iraqi citizen, would you vote on the 30th?

I was listening to a discussion of threats made to behead the children of people who go to vote while I was on my way to work this morning, and I was thinking, what would I do if I lived there.

I've never missed so much as a primary election for Circuit Court Judge in my entire life in our own flawed system. (Key words: "our own")

What would you do?

1. Not worth the risk, especially since the US controls the outcome
No one in their right mind believes the US would allow anyone but its choice to run Iraq.

5. Yeah...
...It would be pretty horrific to have my child beheaded just so I could contribute to an illusion.

2. Afraid of being killed
I don't have kids.

But, seriously, if it weren't an entire sham, I might risk my life to vote. This election isn't worth it.

3. Why participate in a bogus election?
Most people have no idea what the election is for, who is running, or what it means. Besides, it's fixed.

4. On Nov. 2nd despite knowing about Diebold, I voted. I had hope.
I feel Iraqis need that same hope. They will vote.

10. No, because I don't know where my polling place is,
and they won't tell me.

Although, come to think of it, I could ask my next-door neighbor. He's an Allawi supporter. I'll betcha he knows right where it is...
