DU and dailykos more organized than freepers - |
|
No? When I browse over there, it seems like there are 20 people who wander in and out, and only once in a while does a thread go over 5 responses.
There does not seem to be any grass root enthusiasm. Look at us - we are calling our own senators, other senators, congressmen, the media. We are fired up!!! And I think we make a difference. They are so last year over there on the repub sites, and so negative and hateful. I don't think you can hold a large group of people together with just hate. Unlike here - hope springs eternal here!!!
So thanks - for your enthusiasm, your caring and your humor. Motivated people can change the world!

1. Their threads are really poorly managed |
|
DU has a very logical, easy to follow layout.

They have some very long threads there.... even if half of the responses are just *ping* or some back slapping narrow minded kudo to the one or 2 freeps who can actually come up an original thought

4. I go there a few times a week |
|
and I am usually surprised by how few people respond.
But my point was that I feel a lack of positive passion and moral clarity. Most of what they respond to is hatred.

Most message boards or comment boards are tough to navigate and use. Or the threads are hard to follow, so if you want to make a comment you have clue where it will go. This is definitely a problem at Kos. Also, many of these places, including DU, are very cliquish...with a core group of regulars who do a lot of posting and a cold attitude toward others who post now and then or try to get into the discussion.
Personally, I like systems that use the php boards like DU over the ones at other sites...far easier to follow and have a running discussion.

6. That's What I Like About DU |
|
I've never seen a board with such lively exchanges among so many people. Unless you count scorched-earth flame sites like Yahoo.
It's been the result of good design and careful management. And the type of folks who are progressive and attracted to a site like this.

7. I stopped going to that site a few months ago |

They use to be a source of news but now they seem so full of hate and negativity I don't like reading anything they post.

8. Have you ever seen an entire team of 5 year old T-ballers ... |
|
chasing the same ball into the outfield. Nothing but butts, knees, and and elbows. They too, are more organized than the freepers.
