when it suits their needs. So they periodically trot out shit like: Who is al qaeda? Anyone, including your neighbor. Where are they? Could be anywhere, including the streets of USA. What do they want? To kill you and your family and demolish our precious freedoms.

Al qaeda is like a ghost story, designed to control Americans' behavior by striking fear into everyone.

And al qaeda is anywhere/anyone the right wing wants them to be.

they actually do exist; I mean they aren't just a bogey man. It is an organization that killed 3,000 Americans; and would like to kill more. I don't think that President Bush has adopted any sort of plan to stop them; but pretending they don't exist isn't a great strategy either.
