How many times does the party have to smack you upside the head with a political 2x4 to realize the majority of democrats in Washington are just a bunch of corrupt crooks doing the GOP's bidding because they got the goods on them...?

Here is the deal. The GOP tells the Dems that they better get on board with Bush or they can forget about getting even the tiniest of initiatives considered and they will start investigating...everything Democrat.

I am sick of career politicians trying to save thier jobs at the price of progress. Freedom! Ha...America Freedom....freedom of what?

I tend to agree with most points but think you have generalized Democratic motives just a bit...there were a lot of different reasons for voting with the repukes and a lot of them had to do with local conditions or political realities. In the end, it's true, all politics are local and some of these people vote the way they do because they feel they have to in order to survive their local/state elections.

Hillary will never get my vote.........EVER.

But I won't throw Feingold over for a Dem because of this vote on Rice........

I agree with much of what you wrote, but disagree with your explanation: you postulate that the only reason most Dems act cowardly, is because they "fall for" GOP promises that they'll be tossed a bone. This is not so. Most of them act cowardly either because they're terrified of what the GOP will say about them, or because they actually hold rightwing ruling class beliefs themselves. Diane Feinstein, for example, votes for a lying POS like Rice because she's a member in good standing of the ruling class, and finds it natural to support whatever serves her class interest. She is more interested in her husband's investment portfolio than she is in government serving the broad population.

But you're pretty much on the right track. One blatantly stolen election, another dubious one, a war that has ruined this country's finances, moral fiber, & reputation -- and we can only manage 13 Dem senators to vote against someone the whole world knows to be a liar.
