Edited on Wed Jan-26-05 05:16 PM by Stop_the_War
The administration's point man on Social Security in the House, Rep. Bill Thomas (R-CA), recently suggested in an interview that Republicans may try tying Social Security benefits to the race or gender of the recipients.

2. Apparently not familiar with the Constitution

A common malady among Republicans these days.

Perhaps the Republican caucus should schedule some Constitution 101 classes.

5. Tell me if I'm wrong
but I think the idea is to tie benefits to life expectancy. Shorter=higher yearly benefits and longer=lower.

I don't know if this is a good idea, but I think this is what he meant.
