This is rich: over 90% would NOT die for Iraq!
Check out, and vote in this cnn poll: http://www.cnn.com/. Asking if we'd die to bring democracy to Iraq. Now, I suspect about 49% can honestly say we would not. The other 51%, not so much.

Really, this cannot be happening - I will wake up, right?

1. REAL democracy? Probably. A US-controlled puppet democracy?
Can't say I would.

5. Why aren't those 10% over there, dying for Iraq?
My guess is that they really don't want to die.. for Iraq.

And the message "congratulations, you have just passed the interview portion of the recruitment process" ;-)

9. What a hoot
I wouldn't personally die for democracy in Iraq, but it's alright for those people who signed up for the military to die. They knew what they were getting into when they signed up, of course. </sarcasm>

14. The freepers don't really want to free Iraq
They want to:

1) Win

2) Kill Arabs

3) Support "our" President and our troops

Freedom and Democracy have nothing to do with it for them.

15. Of course not, but
I will put 6 plastic yellow magnet ribbons on my SUV which assures all those lovely men dying over there that I support their death.
And we will have lovely prayer circles for them. There is just nothing I will not do for those troops.

I just made myself sick.

17. Those ribbons drive me nuts.
I pulled into a parking lot next to a big, ole Hummer sporting 2 of them. All I could think was, this behemoth gets about 6 mpg, no wonder those poor kids are dying in Iraq. Freedom my ass . . . it's all about oil and money.

19. Well I wouldn't die for freedom in Iraq
but I'd do what you said, if I had an SUV, I mean I would do anything because I'm patriotic and all. The more ribbons the merrier, I say - I've noticed they have different colors now, so you could kind of have a collage of ribbons. I mean, I'd contribute to buy body armor or something, but then, who would know how much I support the troops? I say go with the magnets, they're more stylish and stuff. A lot easier to get than body armor, too. <sarcasm> off.

Seems to me Iraq was doing somewhat better before we decided to "help" them. I hope we're not going to "help" another country anytime soon.

16. This poll lacks the much needed 3rd option for Bush supporters:
"Do you think people other than yourself should die for democracy in Iraq."

22. the hubris of GOP voters is disgusting
these people have the gall to beat the drums for war and freedom and the spread of democracy as trumping any other national priority -- we can assume that the president's crazed imperialism is strongly supported by these people...

...but when it comes down to them...

republicans make me so fucking sick -- how blind and utterly unthoughtful can you be?
