The new sec of Education is condemning this NPR cartoon because it has characters portraying a lesbial lifestyle. Now does this cartoon actually state that the characters in question are lesbians? Or is it just implied to some? Whats the deal on this cartoon? If two women live together then they are lesbian?

1. I heard that the two women just appeared briefly as part of a family |
|
group during an episode, and that nothing was said about their relationship. Apparently, Spellings got her undies in a bunch because it was a family with two mommies (gasp!), and started raising hell. This ep will probably never be broadcast now, though it was just a nice little story about Buster the bunny visiting a farm. :eyes:

4. If the episode follows the usual |
|
If the episode follows the usual "Postcards from Buster" format, they aren't cartoon lesbians, they are real-life live-action lesbians.
"Postcards from Buster" is actually about 90% live action of real people all over the states. There are only cartoon lead-ins.

6. One thing that still puzzles me.... |
|
Since nothing is said about the women on-screen, how is it so "obvious" that they're lesbians and not just sisters or friends taking their kids on an outing together? Is it just because of the Virginia setting that they're assumed to be "living the love that cannot speak its name"? :eyes: One could just as easily film my playgroup at the park and then condemn us for living in a lesbian commune.
