With new panic and paranoia, **** admin will give troops dangerous orders
Edited on Wed Jan-26-05 10:29 PM by jazzjunkysue
Just my prediction. These people will all reach down the food chain one rung and scream impossible orders, just to vent frustration that's been building for years. By the time it gets to the regular soldiers, it will likely be irrational, ill-conceived, and dangerous. Watch for more deaths and "mistakes" as they panic and take impulsive actions that work against each other.

Soldiers are going to break under the load and turn on each other. This entire fiction rests on these good, but exhausted patriots who are just making good on their deal with the government to serve, but will crack under the pressure from politicians from above. I'm afraid for the soldiers on the ground, taking bad orders from bad people. No one over there can tell any more who the enemy is, moment to moment. The Iraqi's are making it very clear that they don't fear US any more. Shock and awe, my ass.

1. I second your prediction...
especially when ** can't make good his troop commitments and then commits for expanded involvement elsewhere (syria or Iran) When those troops in Iraq realize that they may not be returning in the foreseeable future rebellion/mutiny is likely. Those transport guards were not prosecuted for refusing endangering orders, and we can expect more of the same as time goes on.
