CBC exposes O'Reilly, Coulter, Foxnews and more -- MUST SEE -- 5 stars
It's the current edition of the Fifth Estate. I can guarantee this will never air in the US.

O'Reilly comes off as the loud bully that he is.

Coulter comes off as undereducated. She repeatedly insists that Canadian forces fought side by side with our guys in Vietnam. Facts never deter her.

Foxnews gets it with both barrels.

Here's from the website:

STICKS AND STONES
Wednesday January 26, 2005 at 9p.m. on CBC-TV

The United States is in the midst of a very un-civil war. It's a war of words that's pitting conservative against liberal, that's already divided the country into red and blue. The new gladiators are commentators like Bill O'Reilly and Ann Coulter and their forum is the television studios of networks like Fox. It's loud, it's raucous, but does it have anything to do with the truth?

Show schedule on CBC Newsworld:

STICKS AND STONES
Thursday, January 27, 10:00 p.m.,
Friday, January 28, 1:00 & 4:00 a.m.
Sunday, January 30,  3:00 a.m. & 7:00 p.m.

2. Wasn't that great? She lied directly to the CBC anchor
She insisted Canada was in Vietnam and when he politely continued to disagree, she asked, "Indo-China?" He said no, and then told her, sarcastically, "World War II and Korea." She looked surprised and said, "well, I'll have to get back to you on that." He stated afterward that she never had.

What was really funny about that exchange was that she started by saying, "What about Vietnam? It was an unmanageable mess and Canada was there." So, not only was she wrong about Canada going to Vietnam, she is also now on record as stating that it was an unmanageable mess (as, by her implication, is Iraq!) You'd think that being an attorney, supposedly, she could have easily deduced that U.S. soldiers wouldn't have fled to Canada for asylum during Vietnam if they too were engaged there, but it clearly didn't occur to her.

Also, just to be petty, after the cracks she made about Democratic women's looks during the convention, it was very pleasing to me to note that her mustache needed a bleach job and was in full evidence.

"The Fifth Estate" is a great show. They did an interesting biography of Cheney not too long ago. Also did a great piece on the Iraqi museum fiasco.

8. It's subscription only over and above the cost of...
digital cable, etc so Faux will be as successful as.....the dog grooming channel. The dog grooming channel has greater credibility though, lol.

(P.S. There is no dog grooming channel but if there were it would beat Faux in the subscription sales.)

7. The firtst time I ever saw
that female dog she insisted that Thomas Jefferson had never been president. I kid you not! She did it twice before finally relenting. This was in '98 and she was not ready for primetime. It took a few years to perfect her dumbass insistery.

10. Many of those
expert pundits toss out what ever they want because they are safe from questioning. Ann was dark faced and confused (and pissed) that she was successfully challenged.

Canada's own lady right-winger insists WMD were found in Iraq.

Good program. CDC is on our local cable.

13. You mean Canada's right-wing STALKER?
Whatever that women's name was, she's been cited twice for STALKING ex-boyfriends - and pled guilty to at least one! Despite her moralizng and referring to Canada as "Sodom and Gomorrah", she insisted that her own sexual misdeeds had no place in a public debate. That woman was truly crazy.

15. She was NUTS. She looked nuts, too.
She kept saying that there was no need to prove there were WMDs. The burden was to prove that there weren't any.

They showed a clip of her on O'Reilly's show where he loudly proclaimed that if they gave her any flak in Canada, he (and Fox, I guess) would come in and take care of things for her.

Actually, the show was hilarious. I hope they replay it.

For a tape or whatever, check out cbc.ca and see if you can get it.
