Poll question: Who is being more partisan during the confirmation battles
The corporate media is frequently repeating the conservative line that Democrats are simply playing partisan politics by opposing Rice and Gonzalez. Never mind that this is exactly what the framers had in mind when they wrote the "advice and consent" clause into the Constitution.

I wrote in a letter to the editor of my local paper that the worst type of partisanship is the kind that overlooks Executive lies and abuses of power because it comes from a President of your own party. The corporate media needs to start asking if Republicans are being partisan by failing to fulfill their Constitution role as Senators.
