Why in the hell are there little or no liberals as radio and TV shows? |

I'm sick of seeing teleconservatives pull this garbage up. Does clearchannel own everything or what?

From this post, at least, you don't seem like one.
And to answer your question, I think you nailed it. Clear Channel owns most of talk radio.
Plus, the right wing needs books, tv shows, and radio shows. One, it reminds all of their brainwashed followers of the current talking points. Two, it is the most effective way to spread the propaganda and lies. Three, its easier to have someone tell you your opinion than to think for yourself. And Four, the right wing personalities in the media serve as the "masturbation wing" of the right, as another poster here phrased it.

5. Speaking of ClearChannel... |
|
During the war did you hear your local clearchannel stations with propaganda messages between songs (music FM radio) with "support the troops"? I couldn't stand that.
And we need entertaining books, tv shows, and radio shows also to un-wash the brainwashed since they won't dare open a history book or even learn about the opposing views.

Many liberals and progressives (including DU-ers) refuse to watch television, and so the news executives present coverage that suits their demographics (mostly non-liberals).
I know this is true because Keith Olbermann (MSNBC host) told me so. He said that if every lib who watches West Wing would just watch him once a week, he would have full control over the content of his show.
Are you watching Keith Olbermann? You should.
If liberals would start watching the shows en masse and commenting on content, we might get traction.

While I never watch The West Wing (I can see it coming, Why not? You don't know what you are missing), I would watch Olbermann. What time is he on?

We used to have Mike Malloy here in Atlanta on WSB, along with Neal Boortz. Boortz used to mop the floor with Malloy when they had their 1-minute overlap sessions. Malloy eventually moved down-frequency and Boortz ended up taking over the day until noon.
Maybe this new liberal talk network will do better?

9. Time to wake up and smell the deep crap we are in. |

Just about every thing you can watch on TV or listen to on the radio is owned by corporate media giants. Why would they hire someone who would speak against the company's interests? The internet may be the last bastion of nonpropagandized news. However you've got to do a lot of the sifting yourself.

12. Because fear and hatred provide easy commentary. |

Conservative politics are generally those of fear, hatred, and bigotry. That means it's easy to make a political Jerry Springer show based on conservative politics. All you have to do is talk about how Mexicans want to take your job, how blacks want to take your wallet, how Arabs to take your life, and how atheists want to take your church.
You can point at people and say, "you aren't American!", and you can wave a flag while you do it.
In short, you can be a no-talent hack and still be "entertaining", because you don't have to worry about things like honesty or decency.
