29. I find this pic especially disgusting--they are not human!!
Not that the snorkel jacket at the Auschwitz memorial isn't a depraved lack of empathy, but I'd expect NORMAL people visiting the Holocaust museum to show signs of shock and numbness. That's how I've reacted after watching any Holocaust documentary. Seeing them looking like they're in the buffet line at a cocktail party is just too much for me to compute.

11. What a total embarrassment
Edited on Thu Jan-27-05 05:21 PM by Danmel
Doesn't he own an OVERCOAT? Does he own a SUIT? Does he own a pair of DRESS SHOES? What the FUCK is up with the parka, and dockers and boots? Does he think he's at a Football game? Didn't he know he was going to be representing the UNITED STATES at this world gathering? God, even the Chimp would've been less embarrassing.

What an embarrassing turd. Every foreign leader was dressed in a dignified manner. He is a total disgrace. I swear to God, these people are sociopaths. He's at a memorial service for 1.5 MILLION dead people, among them my grandparents, aunts uncles and cousins. The least he could do is dress like a civilized human being.

Doesn't this White House have PROTOCOL people? Did Cheney grow up in a barn? WTF is wrong with them?

24. The chimp has a full complement of handlers,
and they would have dressed him appropriately and briefed him on where he was going and why.

These photos are proof (as if we needed it) that Cheney is running the show and has no handlers. As someone insightfully pointed out on another thread, no one tells the arrogant asshole what to do. If he wants to make a damn fool out of himself, no one can stop him.

34. Lord knows he's done it enough to others...
...especially "the least among you" portion of the planet's population.

I draw comfort from the same source as Gen. Patton, who was wont to say:

"Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord."

Among his sins, Cheney helped spread nuclear weapons for fun and profit:

Cheney Helped Cover-Up Pakistani Nuclear Proliferation
So US Could Sell Fighter

By: Jason Leopold
Independent Media TV

When news of Pakistan’s clandestine program involving its top nuclear scientist selling rogue nations, such as Iran and North Korea, blueprints for building an atomic bomb was uncovered last month, the world’s leaders waited, with baited breath, to see what type of punishment President Bush would bestow upon Pakistan’s President Pervez Musharaff.

Bush has, after all, spent his entire term in office talking tough about countries and dictators that conceal weapons of mass destruction and even tougher on individuals who supply rogue nations and terrorists with the means to build WMDs. For all intents and purposes, Pakistan and Musharraf fit that description.

Remember, Bush accused Iraq of harboring a cache of WMDs, which was the primary reason the United States launched a preemptive strike there a year ago, and also claimed that Iraq may have given its WMDs to al-Qaeda terrorists and/or Syria, weapons that, Bush said, could be used to attack the U.S.

Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and top members of the administration reacted with shock when they found out that Abdul Qadeer Khan, Pakistan’s top nuclear scientist, spent the past 15 years selling outlaw nations nuclear technology and equipment. So it was sort of a surprise when Bush, upon finding out about Khan’s proliferation of nuclear technology, let Pakistan off with a slap on the wrist. But it was all an act. In fact, it was actually a cover-up designed to shield Cheney because he knew about the proliferation for more than a decade and did nothing to stop it.

37. It just goes to show you how out-of-control
this government really is. There's no one home. There's no protocol, no State Department to fuss with his coat, straighten out his tie, etc.

All that's gone. The entire focus of this administration is zeroed in on Iraq, Iran, stealing, corporate cronyism, and cheating and tricking the American people.

You can tell from the photos above. There's no one home. Dick is on his own. He wouldn't know the first thing about protocol and manners.

He most certainly is the Ugly American.
