Has anyone read David Icke? ro
I can't believe that someone has published books that name prominent political figures as aliens or possesed by alien reptile beings.

So far fetched but he appears to have a following!

Can't people be evil without being aliens, reptiles or UFOs???

2. Icke doesn't seem to think so.
If he were a little less functional, they'd have him on lithium or some other anti-psychotic. As it is, he's a millionaire.

5. Well of course he's right.
He may be mad but that doesn't mean he's not right. He has a house near us - everyone knows he's mad, but in a perfectly acceptable British kind of way. Like Prince Charles, or Freddie Mercury.

6. I got hit head-on by
a Chevrolet Suburban which ran off the road into me going 40 mph while I was out walking one fine November day in 2003. I just about died before the 'copter arrived to transport me to a trauma unit 35 miles away.

I've heard Icke interviewed a couple of times. He is exactly right that love is the only force or whatever you want to call it that survives physical death. He may not have said those precise words, but he often mentions the power of love. I do not automatically discount him as a crackpot since I've already received painful confirmation during my near-death experience that that part of his theory is correct.

The Beatles sang "All You Need Is Love" and I would paraphrase that to say "all you can take with you is love."

Are the BFEE reptiles or aliens? I don't know. I just wouldn't automatically assume they are fully human. The Catholics have pretty well convinced me that demon possession is real also. Maybe there's some of that going on with our "leaders."

I would certainly say that someone who would bomb a country which poses no threat and kill 100,000 civilians may be a bit lacking in the "love" department, but that's just me.

It's hysterically funny.

Unfortunately, I've found some of the recent posts on DU almost as hysterical.

I don't believe in the paranormal or the supernatural. I don't believe in prayer, spells, chupacabras, UFOs, tsunamis caused by human activity, shape-shifting aliens, life after death, god or Santa Claus. I found that some of the same people posting pollyanna-esque posts claiming Kerry would be inaugurated on the 20th were the same people posting about belief in the supernatural. Why am I not surprised?

The 2004 Election Results forum finally got to me as I realized that a lot of the people posting there were not living in a reality-based existence. In fact, my opinion that fraud most definitely happened has softened to "maybe fraud possibly happened." Some of the soft-headed thinking going on in that forum made me leery of the whole election fraud theory.

The burden of proof is ALWAYS on the person making a positive claim. Always.

Examples of positive claims:

1. God exists.
2. Shape-shifting aliens exist.
3. There are invisible microscopic neon-green unicorns living in my pubic hair

If the person can't prove a positive claim, the default position should always be one of disbelief. If that isn't the case, people can claim almost anything crazy and say, "Oh yeah. PROVE I don't have invisible microscopic neon-green unicorns living in my pubic hair?" Proof is on the person making the claim. Always, always, always. Anything else is fuzzy thinking.

17. I'll play.
Which is the positive claim bearing the burden of proof:

1) The 2004 election was accurate.
2) The 2004 election was fraudulant.

This is not a trick quesiton. I truly wish to know, logically, if one statement or the other has a greater burden of proof.

claims there are Weapons of Mass Destruction in IRAQ. No better yet have you heard the one about how the Presidency was ligitimately Won in 2000 and 2004. Oh you will love this crazy story,, have you heard the one about how in the United States people are afraid to speak up because of the Patriot Act an excuse to harrases its citizens.

Before you critize someone ask yourself can you disprove it (NOT). YOu would be suprise what people who seek the truth have really uncovered.

http://www.ufon.org/html/david_icke_video.html ===== David Icke is one of the most well known and best fact based conspiracy researchers on the globe today. His revelations have shocked the world and have given him a great popularity amongst many people. He does have his enemies too, because his information flies in the face of what we think about the world and some of its history… Even more reason to find out what all the fuss is about!

He has got the authorities and world powers on the run though and they are eager to shut him up with gagging orders – censorship of the press and investigations against him by government departments… all designed to keep the pressure up to stop him from speaking.

However as we all know the Internet is breaking down the boundaries of what we are not supposed to see or hear.

http://www.trance-formation.com/ == TRANCE Formation of America is the first documented autobiography of a victim of government mind control. Cathy O'Brien is the only vocal and recovered survivor of the Central Intelligence Agency's MK-Ultra Project Monarch operation. Tracing her path from child pornography and recruitment into the program to serving as a top-level intelligence agent and White House sex slave, TRANCE Formation of America is a definitive eye-witness account of government corruption that implicates some of the most prominent figures in U.S. politics.

21. Icke Speaks In Metaphors And Allegory
If you take his words on a surface level, it's easy to blow him off as a nut... he sure seems like it.

But, if you take a little time, as I have, to investigate the meanings of his words and concepts in terms of esoteric ancient literature, myth and legend, he makes a whole lot of sense.

Esoteric literature, myth and legend are just that, (esoteric literature, myth and legend), yet they provide a deep context in which to try to understand current events.

Just trying to be helpful.
