1. He can't take bad press. He knows that the neanderthals who
vote for him can't pick out the big words in articles that question his foreign policy decisions, but they're pretty good about interpreting a photograph. Visual learners is what they call it.

photo with a coffin because that would remind the public that people are actually dying in Iraq.
The same reason they won't let photos be taken when they unload the coffins when they arrive in the US. Denial. Denial. Denial.
If no one sees it...it does not exist.

4. He's delusional.
I think that goes without saying. And in my strange way of looking at things, I get the impression that either he doesn't believe they are really dead - OR - that by dying in a war to spur the rapture the soldiers are getting a greater reward and should be thankful.
I know it's a strange concept, but I think this guy is so detached from reality that he's got a rationality for the deaths he's responsible for, and therefore, he's covered.

"Why should we hear about body bags and deaths," "Oh, I mean, it's not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?" Barbara Bush, ABC's "Good Morning America", March 18, 2003.

maybe even have to answer questions. That wouldn't be much fun for his nastiness.

14. the photo op would be really bad PR
by raising questions about his leadership. here's a draft dodger who sent off others to die - god forbid he actually look like he's sorry.

no, the only photos we'll see of chimpy are the ones of him wearing a flight suit.

he's a disgrace.

15. bad for him
to him going to a funeral, he believes that it makes people believe he was wrong to send troops to war. as stated earlier, bad press for him, and thats it. he needs to grow up.

18. Because * and the people around him create their own
reality.

The dead are just numbers on a page. If he goes to a funeral, that would make it real. He would have to change his reality. And he just can't have that.

24. Momma had a hand in shaping his attitude
When he was seven, Bush's younger sister, Robin, died of leukemia and several independent witnesses say he was very upset by this loss.

Barbara claims its effect was exaggerated but nobody could accuse her of overreacting: the day after the funeral, she and her husband were on the golf course.

21. DUH!!! He SPENDS ALL CAPITAL, ESPECIALLY HUMAN CAPITAL.
His father taught him how to squeeze the blood out of "human capital". It's a mixture of nature and nuture that produces black-hearted capitalists who only make appearances when it PROFITS them.

We should encourage a study of those who prove an utter absence of human empathy. Maybe, we could block such human destroyers from ever gaining power over humanity, ever, again.
