Holy Cow! You should see the main page of news.google.com right now
http://news.google.com

Top headline: "A deadbeat president hawks his dead end war"

(the Alternet article: http://www.alternet.org/story.html?StoryID=16736)

1. I go to news.google to take the pulse of the media

It's unexpected to see Bush get fed a face-full of eat-shiat in the mainstream media like that.

Yes, I know alternet is not mainstream. But I consider news.google.com to be an accurate sampling of current media.

Eat it, Bush!

6. poof.
gone in a flash.

Wonder how they assign positions to the stories...is it the number of hits on a story?

9. I think it updates every half hour or so? Even if you don't hit refresh
I have seen it refresh as I was reading the page.

7. Did you see the picture on the front page of the NY Times today?
Now, you tell me they couldn't have picked a better picture from all of the "footage" of last night's speech, or at least have fixed this one up a little better.

The picture they used shouts "Alfred E. Neuman Busted!"
