can i get the lowdown on some of these people..
Edited on Mon Sep-08-03 09:43 PM by toddzilla
i downloaded these interviews and listening to them at work.

don't really know anyone here and was wondering if someone out there could tell me if these are tinfoil hat wierdos..:tinfoilhat: or normal people.

i listened to the harry brown interview today. is he mainstream for libertarians? some of his stuff was OK, but it seems like he lives in la-la land as far as trusting the market, and economy to equalize itself. who would pay for roads and infrastructure in a libertarian societ?

anyway.. comments appreciated.

d'oh!! i'm a dumbass.. i didn't post the link to the interviews lol

1. Libertarians are stoners with money.
True, they don't have that nasty habit of peeking in your windows, but America already tried their economic programs. The Gilded Age was a seething cesspool in many ways.

I like my meat and my employment regulated, thank you very much.

2. Harry Brown
Was the Libertarian Party Candidate for President in 1996 and 2000. He is very mainstream for Libertarians. He is also a convicted felon who cannot vote.

3. pay for roads and infrastructure
I asked a friend, who claims not to fit into any one political category, this same question. His theory is that big corporations would pay for everything (road maintenance & construction, the military, etc.), because it's in their best interest. After a contentious exchange, I grew frustrated at his lack of historical insight ("the past is prologue") and ended it.

I suspect if you ask one of them, the answer will be along those same lines.
