What's up with the latest online Zogby Poll?
Lots of questions about Valentines Day and how much you intend to spend on Feb. 14. Rating your spouse/SO and yourself on looks. What kind of chocolate you prefer. And your age on your first date, first serious romance and your age at your first sexual experience. How much you intend to spend on books this year. Plus all the other "regular" questions.

What are they trying to determine?

1. Just how much you love me.
I did the survey yesterday and found those questions strange. But I answered truthfully. The likely Repugnant voters will be shown to be unromantic and stingy is my guess.

2. I was taking the poll, but
when all those Valentines questions started coming up, I just quit--what a waste for a "serious poll".

4. Might be more serious then you know.
I don't think that Zogby wastes his time on frivolity.

3. Thanks for the chuckle
And you're probably right unromantic and stingy repugs. Don't forget ugly too.

5. I did the whole thing.
I figured he put together several clients into one polling and that is okay with me.

6. VD Day is pure evil.
I've never found a use for VD Day. I just avoid it completely.

9. I have no use for it
One poll question asked how much I intended to spend on my mate and I answered "nothing." When asked if I thought VD was was nice way to show someone how much you loved them, or if it was a big scam created by card, flower, and candy companies, I answered the latter.

Just call me a Hopeless Romantic!

8. I thought the same thing -- and I almost posted about it.
Glad I'm not the only one who found this odd.

After awhile, I stopped answering -- I think when I saw the questions about first sexual experience. Part of me was beginning to wonder if this was a scam, like those obscene callers who begin asking "legitimate" questions and then get increasingly perverse.

Zogby can ask my opinions on politics and current events. Everything else is frankly none of their damn business.

10. I just went through it
Too personal for me, I made good use of the refuse to answer option.

I would have preferred a "come here so I can slap you, you impertinent young man" option, but alas, that wasn't offered.
