New Sex Allegations against Bill Cosby
Edited on Fri Jan-28-05 08:07 AM by itzamirakul
Cosby DA considers
sex consent

BY BILL HUTCHINSON
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER
<snip>
Investigators probing sexual misconduct allegations against Bill Cosby believe there was sexual contact between him and his accuser, but they are still trying to determine whether it was consensual, ABC News reported yesterday.
The Pennsylvania prosecutor in the case indicated yesterday that he was concerned it took the woman a year to make the allegations.

"I think that factors such as failure to disclose in a timely manner and contacts with the alleged perpetrator after the event are factors that weigh toward Mr.Cosby," Montgomery County prosecutor Bruce Castor said.

The comedian met this week with cops investigating charges that he drugged and groped a 31-year-old woman at his suburban Philadelphia mansion.

1. In the same issue of 'Playboy'
that had the famous interview with Jimmy Carter in 1976, there is a photo of Bill Cosby aiming a dart at a naked woman's butt. It was from some movie, I think. I have often wondered if he actually threw it. Believe it or not, while watching the archery battle scenes in "Braveheart," my mind flashed back to that photo of Bill Cosby taking aim, particularly since there was this scene where the Scottish fighters "mooned" the English and a bunch of them took arrows in their backsides.

From that moment on, though, I never thought of Cosby as anything but a randy guy, although he might have just been acting like a randy guy in a movie. And he has every right to be a randy guy in real life. I really couldn't care less.

But I know there are quite a few disillusioned folks who hope this is fiction considering his "other" image as a Huxtable. I never watched that show, so I may not even have the last name right

That "conservative" speech he made to African-Americans about a year ago was pretty strange, but I never thought of him as a progressive in terms of politics. He's got way too much money to be anything but a reactionary at this point.

4. First of all...I am a fan of Bill Cosby..
Second...this is a news story that I thought others might want to see since so much space was given to Cosby's concern about young black males. This appears to be a set-up. I would think that people who care would want to know.

5. My point, which I didn't make clear, is that the entire subject is
so trivial that I don't think it's worth worrying about. Whether it's true or not seems to be a big yawn. Now, the touching in the Abu Grebe
prison, that was really inappropriate touching or at Guantanamo. But, one old guy, touching some body part, ought not be mentioned in court unless it was a consistent pattern of harassment. Perhaps my problem is that I have found Cosby to be a dull character for the past 20 years.

3. I don't believe the allegations, someone's looking for a payoff.
Bill Cosby is human like anyone else, but he's also fabulously wealthy and a target for a shakedown for money.

He's been criticized a lot for his speeches, lately. He gave one in Detroit last week. It's interesting that most of the criticism I have heard has been from white people, not black people. I do think he has a point about cultural values, but I also think that what he is saying applies to all parents, not just black ones.
