I wish we could sex-up C-span. |

It is the most important thing on tv. Sarbanes is kicking ass right now, but he is slow and well, a tad boring.
It makes me wonder if music videos and video games are some kind of neo-con plot.
Sarbanes is kicking ass right now on the medicare propaganda...he says he's "extremely disturbed" but I don't know why, they've been doing this in environmental areas for the whole first term, like the firing of Teresa Chambers.

1. Well, he's not wearing a bra... |

They could add pop-ups that point out things like that. That could make it sexier.

Pop-up C-SPAN. With trivia, and stuff like that. That's actually a pretty good idea.
The OP is right, though, politics is waaaaay more interesting than soap operas or reality shows, but how to convince people of that? Hmmmmm.....

2. Ha! You just stumbled upon the solution... |

Keep using "sex" and "c-span" in the same sentence and you'll get people to check it out.

6. I'd rather smarten up the electorate... |

Have you ever read the book Lies My Teacher Told Me by James Loewen? It's a book about how we make history and social studies so dull with the way we teach it, and how it turns kids off and reduces their performance in those subjects.
Politics is much the same. We're led to believe that it's dull and uneventful.
History is not a series of facts, it's a neverending drama full of conflict, struggle, and personalities that are sometimes stranger than fiction. Politics is much the same. I have found myself in rapt amazement at times, watching Congressional debates on CSPAN.
I'd rather smarten up the electorate so that they see history and politics for what they truly are, and become interested in them, than to dumb down CSPAN to a lower threshold.
