5. No the
sign is not fake thats what was there during WW II. Makes me sick been there walked around and and I am offended when people make the comparison to then and America today. Do we have problems yes on both sides of the aisle. But people still are moving here so things can't be all that bad. So let me ask you when you look at USA do you see the glass half full or half empty. Even with all its problems I still want to live here, and yes I have spent time in other countries.

Reaching for flame proof undies..., ready fire away.

Remember, the Holocaust started quietly, slowly. No one would have anticipated the horror to follow there either. "It can't happen here" is a naive assumption. Given the right leader, populace, circumstance, it can happen ANYWHERE.

7. Fascism doesn't spring up overnight. It grows.
Visit one of the concentration camps and you'll gain a much deeper understanding why fascism must be ever guarded against. When you've seen this first hand, you'll know what I mean.

8. No flame -- just a cautionary note
that * is responsible for more invasions, and more deaths after his first 4 years than Hitler was after his first 4 years.

And Hitler didn't have nukes.

9. Thanks, But Actually I Was in Disbelief

that Cheney would allow himself to be photographed walking underneath the Nazi slogan "Arbeit Macht Frei". But apparently so. Everything is so carefully stage-managed with the Bush people, you almost have to think it was intentional.

On Edit: OK, I see the situation. That's not so bad. It's a visit to a concentration camp and the Nazi slogans were kept there intentionally. I just wasn't paying attention.

12. It's real
it's real - Cheney was in Poland yesterday, at the 60th anniversary of liberation of the Auschwitz camp.

There was a small but vocal group of protesters, directed mostly against Putin for his war on the Chechens, but they also had a word for Cheney. Wouldn't you know, the protesters were all rounded up by the police and locked up for 24 hours, until the celebrations were over.
