New York Times interview w/ Bush proves he's an idiot.....

"On domestic policy, Mr. Bush sidestepped a question on whether he agreed with a Florida law barring gay men and women from adopting children, saying he was not aware of it. But he said that while "children can receive love from gay couples," he believed that "studies have shown that the ideal is where a child is raised in a married family with a man and a woman.""

It gets even better!!!

"He laughed when asked about his admission on Wednesday, during a news conference, that he had not read the article in the periodical Foreign Affairs written in 2000 by Condoleezza Rice, his new secretary of state, laying out his foreign policy.

THIS WAS HIS ANSWER!!!!

"I don't know what you think the world is like, but a lot of people don't just sit around reading Foreign Affairs," he said, chuckling. "I know this is shocking to you." "

o.k.....YOUR THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!!!!!.....DUHHHHH

Edited on Fri Jan-28-05 04:43 PM by fryguy
so where is the defense of marriage act that aims to prevent couples from divorcing rather than aims to keep couples from joining in marriage??

16. Wonder what the circulation figures are, I've read Foreign Affairs
for years and you can't get any more average than me! I'm pretty sure there are plenty of average Americans that read that magazine. The articles are very informative and usually well written. Shesh, King Chimp is still trying to play the "I'm just one of you" cards. He doesn't want to cloud his beautiful mind with facts and details. He needs to revise his road show shtick - he is not one of us - he is a bottom feeder, dumber than a post, disingenuous, thick headed, leaded butted, born-with-a-silver-spoon-up-his-ass, boozing "moran." He thinks of himself as funny while the rest of the world just sees him as pathetic.

13. Even WORSE: Bush didn't read the Hart-Rudman Report on Global Terror that
was handed to him on Jan.30, 2001.

He should be impeached and put in jail for CRIMINAL DERELICTION OF DUTY.

17. Is the president off of his lithium???
Lately, the president has really been acting like a stupid chump.

Seriously. It's like his personality has run completely off the rails. He's like a middle-schooler with ADD who just drank a bottle of chocolate syrup.

His mind seems incredibly hoarked up these days. What's with the bizarre attempts at humor? He makes these ridiculous, discombobulated comments, as if they are hilarious--but really they're frightening--because not only are they lacking in humor--but they lack any coherent meaning.

Any guesses? Stress from his post-inaugural flop speech? Disappointment in his falling polls? Or maybe the little box on his back needs a jump start?

Bush doesn't see ghosts in White House

http://www.vonage.com/no_flash/index.php

By The Associated Press | January 28, 2005

President Bush, in an interview with Brian Lamb of C-SPAN that was released Friday, talked of life in the White House:

Lamb: "The longer you're in this White House, with all those that have gone before you, do you see ghosts of past presidents?"

Bush: "Well, I quit drinking in '86. ... It's just really hard to project back into somebody else's shoes. So, no, I guess I don't see ghosts."

Actually, my nightmares are better than being awake the past 4 years or so.
