4. Oh oh, can't tell the diff between those 2 with pursed lips
I'd like to think that there ARE moderate republicans out there. But they don't seem to be very useful to this point

5. IMO She's a koolaid suck-downer
I heard her on Franken (who I normally don't like to listen to.)

He tried his same BS tactic that never works, pointing out clearly contradictory statements made by her, Junior, etc. And then letting them talk. Of course she rationalized and explained away all the discrepancies. Franken is basically a megaphone for RW talking points.

But Franken-bashing aside, she thinks * cares about the environment. That should tell you enough.

real shills are getting. I don't think she has had a David Brock, scales falling from her eyes, revelation yet.

11. Can still see her "holding court" in Broward County, FL during the
2000 recount, spouting RW talking points about the votes being "counted and recounted numerous times already" and that it "needed to be STOPPED."

No, she has absolutely zero credibility. We Floridians have good memories. Move along, Ms. Whitman.

"what do we think about..."

it just sounds so...so...sheeple-ish.

it reminds of a time in college at the U of I in champaign- a buddy and I went to a frat-house to pick up some weed(we weren't greek- but the guy had good smoke) on his roomates bed was a copy of the greek illini, the frat system "newspaper"- on the front page was a regular section devoted to "topics of conversation" for socializing- most of which were just brief headlines from the current news.
It amazed me that these people were so shallow that they had to be told what to talk about...and i get the same kinda feeling when I hear people say stuff like- "what do WE think about this...?"
you have a mind.
you have life experience.
you have access to the facts.

use them all, and form your OWN opinion- it doesn't matter what everyone else thinks.

I keep asking myself, "Why the fuck didn't she publish her book three or four months ago when people would have given a rat's ass?"

18. Christie's probably planning on running for Senate
Being tied to closely to Bush isn't going to help her in the Garden State.

She's a genuine country club Republican. As Governor she was decent on the environment but was not a good financial manager. She was window dressing for Bush on the environment, got wise and left with some credibility intact.

Not the worst, not the best. I'll be supporting the Democrat who's running for that seat unless he or she is a real disaester in which case I'll go Green.

19. I think Democrats should be supportive of her
As well as of any Republican who tells the truth about Bush or goes against him in any way. I think the only way we're ever going to get more people to wake up about Bush is when the Democrats and the old, non-nutty wing of the GOP unites.

22. She hasn't told much truth at all, though.
She's still holding the party line on everything else, except the fact that maybe the GOP might not like moderates, maybe.

25. The part of the truth that she's telling, though, is very impt.
From what I heard of her interview with Jon Stewart, she's laying out all the strong-arm tactics used by BushCo to keep moderates Repubs in place. I don't care that she's late in criticizing Bush as long as she does it: The Democrats can criticize Bush all they want, but for most of the Republicans rank-and-file, they won't start believing it until Republicans say it.

There's not much use in demonizing her, but I don't think she's extremely valuable or useful.

21. She campaigned for Bush.
That really tells me all I need to know. It's like McCain- some people buy his bullshit. Words mean exactly *nothing*. It's what people do that matters. Like McCain, Whitman always backs the robber barons when it matters.

27. She covered up
for Bush on the EPA air quality at Ground Zero and as soon as the REAL report came out she resigned. Those of us who breathed that air know the truth.
