Dear Friends of The White Rose,

In the last three years, White Rose has served over three million hours of Liberal/Progressive talk radio. We have reached tens of thousands of people in 133 countries. And we owe all this to your continued patronage.

Until now, White Rose has been a part-time effort for me, albeit one that has taken 4-5 hours each and every day while I have been supporting myself with other work.

The time has come to take this to the next level.

As of this week, I have incorporated White Rose as a business, and am now its full-time employee. I have contracted for much faster dedicated servers, and am planning on greatly expanding the programming line-up.

Part of this effort will be running paid archives for certain show hosts, and the first of these will be The Thom Hartmann Show. Because we are sensitive to those listeners who are in reduced economic circumstances, we will be setting up a free 24/7 MP-3 web stream of the most recent Thom Hartmann Show which will remain free of charge, and we will be selling subscriptions on a "Pay what you can" basis.

Another part is stepping up our fund raising efforts so that I can continue to work on this archive full time and serve you better.

I have set a goal of $2500 in donations to cover the next couple of month's operations (I work cheap!) and am now asking you to please contribute if you can.

Did I tell you I quit Smoking ? Well I did
2 weeks ago Sunday . Anyway instead of funding
the republicans through my and my husbands cigarette
habit I'll be able to afford supporting some other
things that I believe in . You are definately that

I'm pretty proud of both of us .

I think with Khephra's passing plus
the politics of tobacco was enough
to push me over the edge to a smoke
free lifestyle .

and anybody who has sent a one-time donation recently, will get a free pass for a few months, just for the asking. Details will be posted when we go "live" with the paid archives.

Because the paid archives will be "Pay What You Can", you can either convert your monthly donation to just that subscription, or create a second subscription for Hartmann at the minimum of $1/month.

Please note that Thom Hartmann, and indeed all of our show hosts who choose to have paid archives, will get 70% of the subscription payments for their particular section of the site.

Second, do you need hardware donations? I have a couple of IDE hard drives (~80gb I think) that I need to hand off.
