13. Has Bill Clinton taken over *'s PR? The Halo shot was a Big Dog specialty.

There was a classic one of Big Bill used by all the papers during the darkest days of Monicagate---I have a copy but can not find a web link, he looks solemn, his head is bowed, the presidential seal is behind him framing his head exactly like he is Jesus on the Cross dying for our sins. That photo was everywhere while Congress was crucifying him and the American people were getting ready to punish the GOP in Nov. 1998. If the GOP understood the American people they would have looked at that photo that ran day after day in newspapers and asked themselves if they were making a serious mistake.

The fact that * is using the halo shot does in does not in itself mean that the Big Dog is giving him tips. Rove may be studying Clinton. However, since Clinton come on board the Tsumani Aid thing, I have noticed that * has been acting a lot more like Clinton. He is holding more press conferences, talking more to reporters. When there is trouble, he uses his best asset--the fact that a lot of Americans think he is a regular Joe--to his advantage. He also is sounding less like a moron intent on proving plausible deniability and more like a commander in chief. Indeed, it sometimes seems that someone--maybe Clinton---has actually been talking policy to *.

Has Clinton been giving him advise? If true they would keep it quiet, since this would outrage both Dems and Republicans, but I can easily imagine Clinton doing it. I can imagine Bill and * going out to Dunkin Donuts together for a late night snack and not inviting Karl Rove.
