3. heartwrenching
Child size mock coffins are needed for the big March 20 anti-war rallies.

War leaves every child behind

Great 1000th post! A nice tribute to the innocent little ones.

2. So well done. Thank you, kuozzman.
Maybe you read another poster's stats and comments on the medium age in Iraq being very low now, as the older people are being killed. The poster said it looks like a nation of teenagers.

Your post is tremendous. Hope many thousands of people will see it.

How can b*sh and his supporters live with themselves?

31. How could you live with the status quo??
Have you seen pictures of the mass graves? Hundreds of thousands of people being pulled out of them. We can argue about Bush's decision to go to war all day long but to look at these pictures and make up your mind based on that is ignorant. I am not trying to be rude but look at what existed before we intervened!

14. I had to come back to this thread to absorb just a little more this time
The images are so horrendous one's reaction is to want to look away, to run away, to avoid it altogether.

These people surely can't, can they?

At times like this, you'd like to believe their actually is a higher plane of existence and beings of light who can help the suffering, hopeless victims of someone else's spiritual disease.

16. :(
wow. it's hard to even think that this is real life. i thought we humans were better than war, past these terrible things that seem calculated to horrify and disturb us...

and yet we're still there, still killing kids and making them orphans...

our news media likes to spout about "terrorists" and people like to call Iraqis "ragheads"...but when you see this picture, of a man weeping like a baby over his child, it just throws all that out the window. more than anything, these people are human. you can't call the "terrorists" by derogatory names without including all of us in the naming...

the people who do call these people "terrorists" would call him one anyways. and now it's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

circa 2008 and beyond...
following years of ignoring the protection of our own borders....
following years of ignoring basic health care preventative care for our youth....
following years of ignoring obvious warnings that our homeland was susceptible to simple terrorist biological attacks.....
following years of unaffordable debt leading to bankruptcy....
following years of being shunned by the rest of the world for capitalistic aggression in other countries.....

24. That is gut wrenching
and should be required viewing for every single American citizen. People need to SEE what is being done in their names; to imagine that THEIR children be forced to live in those conditions.

I think I will bookmark this site and use it as a response to every single piece of RW bullshit propaganda that I receive from now on.

Thanks kuozzman.

Edited on Sun Jan-30-05 10:17 PM by walldude
As I scrolled down I could hear in my head the Bush supporters screaming about not seeing the good news from Iraq. Then I got to a shot of a soldier with a red cross on his arm kneeling down to help a little girl. Then when I looked at the picture closer I realized he wasn't helping her he was frisking her. If I was an Iraqi I'd be a an insurgent too. Shame on America. Shame.

33. Truly sad. And what is it all for?

All for a neo-conservative agenda of global domination and control of Middle Eastern oil. An agenda that in the end will only put America in more danger, make America more dependent on finite foreign resources, and cripple the American economy for years (if not decades) to come.

The neocons who pushed for the invasion of Iraq and the people who support them are morally bankrupt. The blood of these innocent children is on their hands.

And will Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld et al be hauled in front of the Int'l Criminal Court and charged with war crimes? They think they're above the law, that they can do whatever they want, and I have the terrible feeling that the world (and worst of all, the American people) are going to let them get away with it.

Sometimes it's hard to be proud to be American ...

34. Are we seeing the whole picture??
If we are going to look at pictures, lets look at all of them. By the way, the price of gas has gone up since the war started. Lets think bigger here people. Do you really think Bush went to war to make his millionaire friends bigger millionaires? Is there really any sense in that? Agree with Bush's policies or not, the man truly believes that what he is doing is the right thing to do. Stop with all of the conspiracy theories and try to understand the big picture. More people would listen to your beliefs if you didn't come off like left wing wackos every time you spoke.
