1. Well, well, well...so that's what goes on in the rest of Virginia.
Actually, If they'd dropped in in Northern Virginia, the City of Richmond, Newport News, Portsmouth, downtown Norfolk, and some other places (1/2 of the state) they would have heard a solid Democratic line. Seriously, going to a "private" (aka, "Christan" white) school in Richmond doesn't really cut it. Remember, Doug Wilder (first black governor of VA 1989-1993) was elected Mayor of Richmond. Why? Because, he was our Governor during some damn hard times, the first tech bust, and he did a wonderful job (just as Warner has done in our second tech bust). I'm enjoying this series but they need to go to the cities as well as the rural areas. I must say, however, it's stunning to listen to that woman in the coffee shop desperate for health care but blindly supporting *.

3. So....everyone they asked who voted for Bush
(except that crazy-ass waitress) voted for him on an issue that he was screwing them on like the economy, jobs, health care, SS...

We can win in the south, we just have to get our message out.

4. Glad to see my neighborhood looking good.
Floyd Va is right up the road from where I'm at. We're not all Bushbots here in SW Va.
